King Buffet — Restaurant in Richmond

Very nice atmosphere. Very clean restaurant and friendly staff. Food is excellent! The soups are great! Buffet is very clean and appealing. Food is hot and fresh. Very wide variety of food, although crab cakes stuffed in crab shell was labeled as salmon the day we were there. I know that was a mislabled!! No big deal though. The green beans were great, and crispy noodles were just brought out and very fresh! Mongolian grill to me was the best part! Can't say enough good things about it. Just my favorite!! The booths sit to straight up for my back, so next time I need to sit at a table. I had company with me, so we opted for a booth. Should have known better! May be ok for some, just not for me. They have a live wishing pond in the lobby, with real fish! No coins allowed to be thrown in!! Will harm the fish! They also have nice oversized leather chairs and a couch should you need to wait or sit down, in the lobby as well!! Very nicely decorated. The chairs at the tables are the same ones, that you would find at any Chinese restaurant. Nothing special about them! I highly recommend going here to eat!! Very very well done in all aspects of decor and food! Love this place! Will definitely be going back many more...

We came here 3 yrs ago and the food was better. This time while in town we came here again and was very disappointed! They didn't have the options that we enjoyed the most the last time we visited.All the beef options except the "steak" from the hibachi grill was gristley and had gobs of tough fat- AWFUL! Most of the food looked like it had been reheated many, many times. All the foods in sauce had curry in them. That's Indian food not Asian foods. Foods like egg rolls and crab rangoon, fried shimp and the fried chicken (for sweet and sour chicken), etc, that is supposed to have a nice crispy coating was tough, dried out as it had been reheated too often and then set in the warmers longer than it should have. Needs to be cooked in smaller batches throughout the serving hours instead of cooking so much all at once and reheating and reheating. Lazy cooking in the kitchen!
