University Shopping Center — Local services in Richmond

There were 2 facilities that I visited this day. Goodwill (my favorite G & W boutique) and Ollie's Bargain Outlet. Both facilities had sweet deals. I found a shadow box 'house' at the 'boutique' just right for my thimble collection as well as a graduation gift for my upcoming University graduate in May. You can always find unique gifts there. Aside from the shadow box, my other favorite find was a glass pear that was Zebra striped. Beautiful frosted glass ornaments, a very unique Snow Man for my Snowman Tree, vintage Christmas ornament alphabet blocks , and that's just naming a few treasures. From Ollie's, I was able to purchase Lion Brand Wool-Ease Thick and Quick super bulky yarn for hats that I am crocheting for the Homeless Shelter. Warm and comfortable hats to wear in this Winter season. The yarn was only $1.99 per skein at Ollie's when it is priced at $6.99 at the local Craft stores. Great deal Ollie's!! A real bargain price as are most of their items in the store. The book section just as you come in the door at Ollie's will blow your mind. Unbelievable prices on quality books and it you think it's not a good price, check the original price and go from there. Deals galore! Right now they are selling books up front by the registers for .99 per shopping basket full. (Not shopping cart, but the small shopping baskets.......turning over that inventory is what sells. I've come to this strip mall my entire 47 years. It has changed a bit since then but not much. It uses to have the best circular metal stairway that my dad would take one trip down it and back up when we would come to get ice cream at the Baskin and Robins that used to be there and a book from Hallmark that used to be there. You can tell I have a lot of memories here. But now it's still a good spot. Has a drugstore a couple of good restaurants a hardware store and a few other businesses..oh yeah and a Goodwill. There is also an Urgent Care. So you can take care of all your needs in one spot. Don't forget to visit the Ollie's to see what weird...

Wow. Went to King Buffet. Unsure if the cooks went on strike or what but I wasn't the only noticing it. There wasn't anything to chose from. We had to ask if they were going to make anything else we was asked like what,sweet & sour chicken. They brought out 7 to the Buffet as I was standing there and I got 4 not trying to be an azz and waited 45 mins for the lady say you done,I was like are they making more food and she was again. Like what and I mention what and out it came and again not enough to serve 2 people. I was an azz that time and that was it. Nothing. We arrived an hr and 15 before close. 3rd strike....
