It's easy to miss the place at first as it's pretty tucked away but the outside was nice and clean. The inside was pretty chill too, soft yellow lighting, agreeable music. You know, your typical Penn Station fair. Customer service was friendly and the prices weren't too bad. Also use your coupons! They have a lot of value compared to other quick dining options and they get sent out all the time.
Only thing is they put pizza sauce on my philly cheesesteak which is like... okay, listen. I specifically said no pizza sauce, it was already a rough day, and they were just closing up so I think I had a perfectly valid crash-out in the goodwill parking lot next door. Obviously says more about me than Penn Station but I ate it anyway out of spite and now I gotta be the weirdo who likes pizza sauce on a steak sandwich. The fries were perfectly fresh though so it kinda evened out. 9/10
Overall, pretty good experience! Would recommend. Oh and I wanted to review the goodwill parking lot too but there's not a page for it so let's just say it's a lovely place to overreact, try something new, and have a nice cry (not necessarily in that...
Read moreThis was my third trip to Penn Station so I was anticipating the same great food I had experienced the two previous visits. The food was as delicious as the past two times, but the ordering process was strange. When I walked in, I was the only customer at the counter. I knew what I wanted without looking at the menu on the wall. I told the staff member I wanted a cheesesteak wrap and medium sized fries . Not too tricky. The guy says, so you just want a medium sized fries. I told him , yes , medium fries so he rang me up for medium fries only. Looking down at my receipt , I saw the mistake. Now a line had formed, so I waited and changed my order to add the cheesesteak wrap. Now I'm two orders in. The fries came quickly and the wrap took a great deal of time. I'm thinking the confusion with ordering involves the volume of the music being played at the establishment. It's hard to communicate with your customers if you can't hear them and they can't hear you. I decided in three stars. The wrap was amazing and the fries did...
Read moreThree stars only because my sandwich was great. Would have been 4 or 5 stars had it not been for the attitude of the server. My wife can't eat lettuce and she always says "no lettuce" when she orders food, even if it doesn't usually come with it. On our recent visit she ordered a tuna "no lettuce". We got the food quickly and it was hot and fresh. Unfortunately the server had typed in "no tomato" so that's how it was prepared, with lettuce. We understand mistakes can happen, we just needed the correction. When I took the sandwich back the server looked like I was interrupting his day and said "what's up". I explained the issue and he huffed and said "that what was ordered". He then turned away without acknowledging that he was fixing another sandwich. A few minutes later he walked up to the counter, dropped the bag, and walked away. No communication whatsoever. Had I not been standing there watching him prepare the food I would have been reluctant to let my wife eat...
