My parents took me and my son out for lunch on my birthday. The experience was not good. It took a while for us to get seated. The waitress took a long time to get to our table to even ask for drinks. Once we finally got our drink orders taken it was a long time before we actually got drinks. When it came time to order when my dad asked questions the waitress seemed annoyed. When I asked a question about the menu she seemed annoyed. When my mom asked a question she seemed super happy to help the white woman.
We never got breadsticks the entire time of our visit. We asked several times and always got an excuse. I watched new customers come in and get breadsticks at the table after they were seated but out waitress didn't seem to care or try. I was talking to my dad about the issue with the bad service and I saw a manager. She had been asking other customers about their visit but she looked at me and gave me a dirty look and walked right by our table. Don't count on a manager caring if you get bad service if you aren't white.
My dad and I asked for refills of water and never got them. My mom always got refills of her diet coke. It took forever for our food to arrive. When my dish arrived all three items were different temperatures. The pasta was cool and already starting to dry out. The lasagna was lukewarm and didn't taste good either. The chicken was extremely hot and the only item that tasted halfway ok. My son's kid's pizza was disgusting. Definitely a waste of money.
My mom made a to go order for my brother and that took a while to arrive as well. When my mom asked for breadsticks to go since we hadn't gotten any while being in the restaurant we finally got some.
Definitely poor service, poor food quality, and terrible management that was in the store when we visited. I have no desire to go back. If I want to eat at an olive garden I'll drive to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe dined in on 7/30 Firstā¦Our waitress took over 15 minutes to get to our table to give us our drinks. They were not busy at all. She was in the back playing on her phone. (My husband went to use the restroom & saw her playing on her phone) we almost just walked out but she finally came to take our order. After finally ordering⦠she brought our meal to us, she told us she would bring some breadsticks, but they were in the oven. we waited but we never received the breadsticks, by now we were ready to go home, when leaving to check out, we asked if we could have some breadsticks to take with our meals since we didnāt have them to eat during our meal. She was very short and said I have to pay for them ā¦that itās a new policy. I told her, but you never brought the ones you said you were going to bring, again she was very short and said, do you wanna pay for another set of breadsticks or not? I said no. I contacted the manager at the front desk who did make it right, by giving us breadsticks to go. I will never go back to this Olive Garden in Richmond Indiana due to the poor service, laziness & lack of responsibility of the waitress there. I guess that happens everywhere but my husband and I work very hard for what we have and we just wanted to enjoy a night out for our anniversary. I heard the lady behind us say to the waitress after hearing my episode, āI want plenty of breadsticks at my table.ā I mean, if you advertise all you can eat breadsticks, then bring them to the table for God sakes. Itās just really...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI regret having to give 1 star, it should be zero. The staff was extremely unprepared on how to treat a customer.
On a Friday afternoon with very few people, it was a 15 minute wait. After being asked if we'd like to sit at the bar twice after asking for a booth, we were seated at a dirty table š³ Again, very few people there and plenty of open tables.
After another 15 minutes, they realized we had the wrong menus.
We waited 20 minutes on our appetizers - salads. Then was told there was no bread. The table behind us, who had only been there about 10 minutes, got bread brought to them. When the waiter was asked, he acted as if he had forgotten. We finally got our bread. 2!! Yes, just 2 breadsticks.
There were people walking in and out of the kitchen the entire time we were there. And no, they did not work there. One was holding a baby and another one had a toddler.
Friends of the "staff" were eating in the front waiting area while the staff was visiting with them.
There's more but this is turning into a novel.
Unprofessional all the way around. I will never return and I will never recommend this...
