Pie314 RVA — Restaurant in Richmond

I'm very confused how this place has some good reviews. My boyfriend and I rode our bikes here around 10pm on a Friday night. It appeared to be the only place in the area with good pizza reviews, that was open, so we decided to try it. We roll up and it clearly becomes more of a bar/club scene at night with a DJ, dancing and all the works which was fine so we decided to sit outside. We went into order and there was no clear organization where to go. We went to the first counter with a register and then the guy pointed us to go order at the bar. We ordered a small pizza, two cervezas and my boyfriend asked for a specific mixed drink. The drinks we got were two Heinekens and a mixed drink that didn't contain any of the right ingredients. We didn't particularly care so, we just accepted what we got and sat outside. During this time, one of the bartenders is outside socializing and drinking with customers. The other bartender that helped us came out and gave us a free shot to apologize for messing up our drinks she then proceeds to tell us that the guy who makes the pizzas has disappeared and she doesn't know when our food will be ready. The table next to us also ordered food and were given the incorrect items. I overheard someone said they ordered a "cheese steak" and not "cheese sticks" which was what was served to them. This place seems extremely mismanaged. I'd question how many of the employees were actually sober that night. I don't think I will...

The Pizza was GREAT !

I ordered the Gyro pizza - personal size . It was more than enough to fill me up and have an extra slice for later. The cook time was reasonable.

The Atmosphere was relaxing . They had an R&B playlist going on which enhanced the atmosphere, the decor was cool and the overall cleanliness was a 10. BUT - what really made the atmosphere and the experience more pleasant was the server Destiny . She was very welcoming and offered a free mango lemonade before I even ordered. She continued to check in with me while serving others customers. Her sense of humor and overall demeanor made the experience that much better. It didn’t hurt that she is beautiful !

Every time i’ve ordered from here it has been a quick, easy, and stress free experience. The owner is so kind and he’s always very communicative on the status of our order. I recently moved to RVA and on the first night we had no groceries and after a long and stressful move, we decided to try pie 314 and it was the BEST decision. It was nearing closing time but the owner still sat with us while our food was being prepared, welcomed us to the city, asked about our move, told us of some cool spots to check out, and really just made us feel welcomed and at home. The food is equally impressive as well. DEFINITELY recommend the large cheese pizza and wings bc you get enough food to get full and still have some after. If you’re considering checking this place out, i would 1000000% recommend. great environment. great food. even better people. can’t wait to order...
