This is an updated review. I received a response to my comment . I should go to go to website. The atmosphere and interior is lacking something. Waitress was very rude to my mother on law. There is a bar with a happy hour. My drink was so strong bitter but I did not complain drank it. Mom took a sip and immediately was unhappy with her cocktail. She wanted it taken off check. Waitress refused to take off check. ?!, The owner did resolve issue. But when Mom went to checkout wait person refused to remove drink again. What! We asked separate check for drink and food. My husband spoke up and she took it off. Never such an obnoxious person. When I paid for the food I added 20% tip. Why? She took order and took food to table and got checks wrong .When we drove off I was I64 noticed drinks were on my tab too. I called and spoke with owners son and I was offered a discount of that amount on my next visit. It was an overpayment plain and simple So I said I am not sure there will be a next time. Write a check and put a stamp I said, you'll be out .47 cents and we will be even. I said usually dont throw away $8 and it is trouble going back my time us important too NO CHECK! The food is pricey, you can share still it was over a $100 for two with add ons. This is cajan style dining finger food very messy. No plates or silverware cheap paper towels. This is not cajan owned Asain owners. Steaming shrimp potatoes corn inside a plastic bag. Add on lobster, king crab crab legs. $$$ There are 3 sauces. ( mild ,meduim hot ) hence Sauce and Toss. Atmosphere very simple not much effort picnic tables inside. The cleanliness was at best 2☆The ladies bath was pretty dirty smelly. No hand soap, Restaurant was hot. We were pretty hungry after sightseeing. So we ate most of it. Mostly lots of peel shrimp. Fried shrimp was overcooked in burnt oil. We didn't complain

After taste and greasy . Poor attitude, bad drinks over billing to complicated . I do not recommend. The establishment was run down. The bathroom needed cleaning. They watered down the hand soap. The entry seemed small and obsure. This not good value for money. Food 3☆ at best. Experience 2☆ Who...

My brother had a birthday party reservation set on a friday 3/12/2021 for Saturday @5:00pm while we were waiting for my brother and the rest of his guest to arrive my mother spoke to the district manager who we didn’t know at the time about our seated table we didn’t have enough seats for our guest so we asked if we can add a table next to ours and he persisted to go back and forth with my mom about how many guests he was told and that it should be enough for our party well it wasn’t that’s why we asked him for more seats! Our waiter came over to ask what drinks we wanted he excused her and spoke with her to the side and told her to go help another table for him and said she was going to come back to us well she never came back to our table we waited with nothing to drink at all cocktails nothing and than the man came and finally pulled a table up next to us after he just got smart with my mother about our party showing up not to mention the waiter never came back we asked him if he was going to take our order for drinks and reminded him that he told us she would come back and she didn’t? he started to ask us individually what we wanted to drink we all decided we wanted to leave not to mention the fact that you can’t even wash your hands in the men’s bathroom because my boyfriend went in there told me the water barely comes out of the faucet so be aware they may not be washing their own dishes as well it is two locations but I’m speaking on the one on E Franklin st Richmond, va my first time visiting and it was very unpleasant unwelcoming and unprofessional that a district manager would run a restaurant in an unorganized way! we didn’t want to ruin my brothers birthday i gave it one star rating because the waiter who was doing her job wasn’t rude to us she was told to do something else instead so if you have a party or event reserved please be expected to be treated the same way in a inexcusable...

My experience with this restaurant yesterday was HORRIBLE. There were 2 young ladies and a man working 7/18/2020 around 8PM. One woman was bouncing back and forth between the register and kitchen, she was exceptionally rude. I got to the front of the line and gave her our last name. She appeared to have an attitude throughout this entire exchange but apparently it was because there really wasn’t a list to begin with. We were instructed by the other cashier to just wait for a table to open and seat ourselves. When we explain this to the other woman working she essentially tells us that we cannot sit down because there’s 2 parties ahead of us on this “list” that apparently only she knows about. RIDICULOUS! So then the other cashier says that we are next but her coworker refuses to clean the table and put down the paper cloth so we can be seated. We ended up leaving and going to Live Crawfish and Seafood RVA. Their staff was very hospitable, there was no wait, food was amazing, and prices were better. I was in a group that would’ve easily spent $200+ at Sauce and Toss but the attitude we got from that one employee wouldn’t allow me to stay and trust that hostility out of someone preparing my food. Wouldn’t recommend. They also appear to have no real COVID precautions. People waiting to be seated standing on the backs of seated customers and apparently they’re no real system to be seated. Way too many people standing around and several guests NOT EATING that came in and out with no mask. Also, none of the staff...

We came here around 12PM on a Saturday. Thought it was closed at first because it was dark inside and there was the Closed sign up. I’m glad that we wait outside of the door for a bit because a lady came to open the door for us. She said to sit wherever and we sat on a picnic table in the middle. Decor has summery, beach vibes. Since we looked at what they had online we went with the 2 pound bucket which had mussels, shrimp and crab in it. At first we got small cups with soup in it that reminded me of seafood egg drop soup. A little while after ordering, a man gave us a steaming bag with our seafood in it. It was covered in plastic and came in a large, round metallic container. Melted butter came in small plastic cups on the side. There were much more mussels than we thought, and lots of shrimp. Crab wasn’t there much, but the food was hot, seasoned with what I’m guessing is something similar to Old Bag, and tasty. Corn, sausage and potatoes were also inside. We also for a chocolate cake for dessert which tasted alright. We were the only ones there the whole time— which was interesting. They also have lobster and scallops among other things. Great place for fresh, steaming seafood by the bag in Richmond.

I thought for the price, this is great. But the problem is, there are 2 menus online, with 2 different descriptions, and prices. So needless to say I expected a cluster of king crab legs and got one. When I called back, no apology, nothing. This young lady wanted to tell me she already explained to me the menu, when in fact I called before I ordered to specify what menu I was ordering from. Like I told her, I didn't care about the price, I would have just ordered more Crab Legs! She continued to argue with me, but I'm sorry, I'm not the one with 2 different menus online. And how is it that I was still charged $68.99 for 1 king crab leg in my meal, when the other menu reads $59.99 for that meal?? Crazy. Poor customer service, not worth the average seafood.

Couldn’t ask for a better experience, this place needs to be poppin 24/7!!! - Came three times, great service each time - Ordered butterfly shrimp, popcorn shrimp, and the jumbo shrimp and was a fan of each as well as the sauces. - The sauce that comes with the fried chicken is also really great and the chicken is very tender. - The atmosphere is fun and lets you escape with music, sports games, as well as a convenience section to pick up items of need. In conclusion, I recommend anyone to come here especially if you’re the Richmond, VA area and like seafood or chicken (they also have a section of fried rice, beef, pork, etc..)
