Our favorite Chinese delivery! Even long before the pandemic and definitely through it, they've continuously provided top quality fresh and delicious food with friendly drivers who are following safety protocols. Good prices for large plates so you'll be set for leftovers or plenty for 3+ people. If you haven't yet.. give them a try 😀
Update. March 2022 Food is still awesome. Delivery drivers are friendly and fast. HOWEVER: Recent fees and attitude from the staff about it are a huge turn off for me. Delivery fees, convenience fees, and tips when there were none before added about $10-15 to my orders. I ordered lunch specials online, which let me make additions to rice choices for only $1.00 but even with pick up at restaurant there was an additional convenience fee. After I placed the order anyway, they immediate called and said they would not honor my choices from the online order because it was a lunch special. If there won't do that, it shouldn't be offered online and surely they shouldn't argue about it. I canceled the order and went to Panda Express. No, not as high quality but the food there is good, no hidden fees, and no attitude or guilt trips from the staff. I don't know when I will go back to Tsing Tao, but it will be a long time before I call them again.
Aug 2023 update: I started ordering and picking up orders to avoid fees, etc. I see different staff who have been friendly and have not had any issues recently so I'm happy to be enjoying their great food once again. I have 3 star on atmosphere since it's a small, hole in the wall kind of place, but it's clean and inviting... I still rather just...
Read moreJudging by the reviews, the place has really fallen in the past weeks. I wish we had checked the reviews before going there. We went there for lunch. While the place is nice enough, the service was truly terrible. The staff had loud conversations throughout the meal, and it was difficult to get the waitress' attention. She got my order wrong, I corrected them and she repeated the correction, and still got me what she had originally said - and I didn't want. My husband ordered an appetizer, but it was substituted for a different, more expensive one. The food itself was oily and pretty tastless, with probably less than 5-6 thin slices of protein. There were a lot of oily, half fried vegetable chunks. All piled on a small appetizer plate, with the food sliding off onto the table. Why not give us a normal-sized meal plate? The lunch is offered with rice or noodles - they don't mention anywhere that $1 is added for this, until we see the bill. Also added to the bill is the substantial tip - I suppose they have had more than a few unhappy customers and took precautions! We got out of there feeling cheated, and...
Read moreA great local hole in the wall. Been going for 10 years, and for a while, the quality seemed to be lacking, but the last 2 times I got it within the new year, they seem to be back in their prime. Everything is delicious, balanced, and cooked to perfection again.
Their prices have increased thru the years, but are still pretty reasonable, and the portion sizes have stayed the same, guaranteeing leftovers even just from a lunch combo.
The only thing I didn't like was that they now charge a mandatory 15% "service fee" even on take out. As well as a few other hidden taxes and fees that Jack the price up significantly. I don't love that. Give me the chance to tip, don't force my hand in it, and not tell me until I get the check. Just rubs me the wrong way.
But other than that, my absolute all time favorite Chinese in the area....
