Richmond Pizza House. A local business just getting started, with skills in the kitchen.
The menu: Lots of options in size, crusts, toppings, gluten free available. Many alternatives to the traditional pizza, including wings, shwarma, calzones. A lot of typos , and the word "cheese" randomly inserted into strange locations. One of the lunch specials has been removed, because they aren't doing by the slice for now at least. Typical first batch printing errors.
The facility: casual atmosphere, clean, what you would expect from a mom and pop business. There are a few tables, seating for about 20-30 people. Decor is minimalist, and in theme with a pizza place.
The order: XL Chicken Parm and Spinach with a stuffed sesame crust, 8 piece mild wings. Placed my order as a walk in, my first visit to the place. The staff was friendly and willing to answer my questions. Neither the cashier nor the menu disclosed that stuffed crust is an upcharge, but I had expected it to be, because, well, cheese.
The Food: Chicken Parm and Spinach; the crust was fully cooked, yet pliable, which given the generous amount of fresh spinach on the pie, I found impressive. Great flavor from both the sesame and the cheese in the crust edge. The chicken was juicy, and the pie was not oversauced. The roasted garlic gave wonderful flavor, along with the smokiness of the bacon. If I ordered again I think mushrooms would be a welcome addition to this pie. Mild wings; These at first glance appeared unsauced, but had obviously been seasoned and marinated prior to frying. The wings were nice and crispy, with a lightly vinegary flavor and just enough heat to let you know that it was a proper wing. The drummettes were likewise flavorful, if a bit fatty. The bleu cheese dressing for dipping seems house made, with nice chunks of real bleu cheese (I neglected to ask).
The bottom line: If you like a decent pizza, made with fresh ingredients, this is a good destination. If you like to support local businesses, this is the place for you. I personally am looking forward to my next visit, and hope to...
Read moreI used to like this place a lot, but lately the pizza preparation quality has dropped. I like their veggie delight, nice and super juicy. But now they don’t cut their artichokes properly anymore making it hard to eat and the artichokes too fibrous sometimes literally making me choke.
Is this a sign of another great place becoming sloppy? Not yet time to move on, but…..
I wrote the above comment 8 months ago (and received the below reply from the owner). Although I never took Jay’s offer, I think it is time to update my review: Credit where credit is due: This is still the best Pizza place in town. The “shrimp lover’s” is my most recent discovery and has quickly become the Friday evening routine for us. They use no salt - an exception in the Pizza place landscape. And: there is always a friendly face greeting me with a smile, when I pick it up on my way home.
Keep it up, Jay and Co.! See ya...

Birthday parties slumber parties sharing a pizza with your team after winning a game, or losing one because life. Richmond Pizza house has an impressive menu from gourmet pies calzones sandwiches wings pasta entrees drinks and desserts. I selected the sausage lovers with twisted sesame crust today. When I arrived I was greeted by the scent of melting cheese dough and herbs and was instantly excited to pick up my order. My pizza was fresh from the oven and steaming, a sight to behold. After a pleasant chat with staff my pie and I were headed home. The crust was just right chewy AND crispy and the toppings were plentiful and fresh (veggie wise) and just the right amount of fennel in the sausage. I’m smiling still. Well done...
