If you're looking for a pizza spot in Richmond that hits all the right notes from flavor to service to overall vibe you need to check out Zorch Pizza on Forest Hill. This place is a total gem, and our visit there was nothing short of amazing! We ordered a half and half pizza with Chicken Bacon Ranch on one side and Buffalo Chicken on the other, and let me just say, it was next-level delicious. The Chicken Bacon Ranch was loaded with tender chicken, crispy bacon, and that creamy ranch drizzle that brought it all together perfectly. Every bite was packed with flavor. Then the Buffalo Chicken side came through with just the right kick spicy, tangy, and cheesy in all the right ways. The crust had that perfect balance between crispy and chewy, and you could taste the quality in every ingredient. It was clear the folks at Zorch put real love into their food.
But the pizza wasn’t the only highlight..... Our server Rosemary absolutely made the experience even better. She was super friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and had this upbeat energy that made us feel right at home. She checked on us at just the right times, made sure everything was perfect, and you could tell she genuinely cared that we were having a good time. You don’t always get that kind of service these days, so it definitely stood out.
Zorch has a cool, laid-back vibe that makes it great for everything from a casual night out to a hangout with friends. It’s clean, inviting, and you can just feel the good energy in the place. Whether you're a pizza lover looking for something new or just want to enjoy great food and friendly service, Zorch Pizza delivers. Five stars all the way. We’ll...
Read moreMy partner and I have been devoted to Zorch since moving to Richmond nearly 2 years ago from the West coast. We couldn't wait to experience their second new spot (which I believe is such a wonderful, celebratory moment of a successful business milestone).
Parking was a bit of an obstacle course, and entering into the pizza parlor was an absolute madhouse BUT it was their first Friday/weekend of existence. The staff was running around a maze of customers slinging pizzas, drinks, while also trying to execute orders and their ever-growing waitlist on an order sheet pad. We managed to get a seat within 10-15 min, and yes, the wait to order + the wait for food might have been long. But I don't think they anticipated this massive of a turnout. From what I heard, the owner himself Rob was in the back tirelessly working on making pizzas with the other dedicated kitchen staff. Pizza was just as good as their Carytown spot and albeit the V Italian hoagie being a bit too steep to order regularly, it was delicious.
Again this spot is brand spanking new, and will iron out the kinks as they come. But the inside was super fun, and I love the nostalgic arcade games. I understand individuals who have been wanting to try Zorch, and have been waiting for a more accessible spot to do so in their neck of the woods. I think this new spot is supposed to be more of a dine-in vision, and no it wasn't apparent that slices are limited to lunchtime. But if you are truly wanting "by the slice", I highly recommend you just suck it up (like we will) and drive the extra 10-15 minutes to the Carytown location.
I'm so excited for you and your team of great...
Read moreCannot tell you about the food as I went in tonight to get a SLICE of pizza since they are on the new spot on the end of my street and who wants to pay $30 for an 18-inch pizza that you have never tasted before? Unfortunately, the horrible customer service I received to find out that slices are not being sold during the week. Worker:But you can order a whole pie... as she walked away... you can go to Carytown they have slices... Me:hummm excuse me ma'am can I at least see a menu...with a grumble she pulled me 1 from the basket on the wall. I politely put it back and left. Tried to call when I got home 1min later no one answered the phone. Called Carytown Zorch and was able to encounter 1 very pleasant young lady named Haley...she listened...she had understanding and empathy. Just talking to her had me ready to drive to Carytown and order a $30 pizza that I've never tried before. She helped me believe in humanity in the world again...Zorch your lucky to have her. Thanks to Haley we will be driving ALL THE WAY TO CARYTOWN to try your pizza...rather than the new location less then 1 minute from my house. Review will be adjusted after that
Now without notice Slices are only served from 2-6pm...are you kidding me! Where is the Signage? You want more stars...you want more business...step your game up. I'm willing to help...bad enough the way people are parking on both sides of the street...which is...
