We gave it a second try but honestly the food is not good. First time I had the fish and chips, ok it was from frozen and breaded but maybe it's a fluke. Came back with my husband and got the potstickers, they could have been good but they were hard and the sauce was too sweet. Then I got the brisket sandwich and it was SO dry, and I doubt it was even brisket it was just shaved beef like the chessesteak except there was no cheese or sauce. My husband got the chicken moterey which he said was fine but he could tell it was frozen. To top it off its not exactly your cheapest option. At the end of the day this is a small town and there are other places to eat that are more worth your money, which is too bad bc the atmosphere was actually pretty nice they could have a great spot...
Read moreService at Charlie’s was terrible. I ordered a steak for pickup and was told it would be 30 min. I walk over in the heat and wait an additional 30 minutes. I ask for a status update on my food and was told they had no idea??? What???? I asked for a refund so I could get my food elsewhere. The nice young lady tells me that my steak is done and they are getting the sides and it won’t be much longer so I take a seat and continue to wait. A few minutes later a waitress brings me a receipt to sign for my refund, telling me that they are busy and all of these customers are before me… honestly, if the just would have told me the actual wait time then I wouldn’t have had a problem. They were busy, I get it. I’m busy too is what they failed...
Read moreStayed at the Carriage Inn for a few days last month. Nine of us ate at Charlie's our first night. We grabbed a few cold beers and some other drinks....so far so good. We got some appetizers, onion rings, and all was very tasty.
Three of us ordered steaks, 2 new yorks and 1 rib eye. I believe that the chef had one single 2-inch steak left in the freezer, so instead of serving it, he sliced one vertically in three even pieces, each 0.66 inches thick! By the time we got them (and yes they all looked identical) they were 1/2 inch thick! On top of that, there must've been 25% of the "steak" just fat and grizzle. The portion that was edible tasted good, but it was ridiculous. I guess I shouldn't have expected to eat a decent meal...
