Read moreI’d like to start that the issues with our experiences were slightly corrected because one of our items was removed from our ticket. Now, let’s get into the nitty gritty. We fell in love with this chain when we visited one in Pensacola. When we found out there was one in Ridgeland we were ecstatic. What an awesome date night. It was not an awesome date night. We arrived and the seating was limited due to dirty tables. We didn’t speak with a staff member for like 10 minutes and there were only two other tables with people at this time. The drinks were off. We didn’t receive any utensils. We ordered our food and the appetizer came within a reasonable time frame as did my sushi roll not long after. HOWEVER, and this is where things get dicey, we continued to wait for over 30 minutes for my husbands sushi roll. When the table who came in 20 or so minutes after us was getting their food I knew I needed to say something. We eventually got the sushi roll and the man behind the sushi bar was apologetic and removed that roll from our check. The sushi was good, albeit pretty overpriced for the portions. Especially when you take into consideration the atmosphere is a bit crowded. Overall, the restaurant needs some tweaking and the staff needs some training. I got the feeling most of the wait staff were inexperienced in the service industry. It has potential to be a fun place to get sushi but we won’t be going back until I see some recent ...
Read morePoor experience all around. I go into the establishment asking if they have poke bowls. The cashier lady looked confused and said they don't serve that. So I leave. Then, the cashier lady runs after me as I am backing out in my car saying that they do have but it's under a different name. SPOILER ALERT: She didn't know what I was talking about for the second time. She showed me a separate menu with Rock'N bowls. I asked her if the salmon was raw. She asked and told me yes. The picture didn't look like poke, but I gave Rock N Roll Sushi the benefit of the doubt.
I should have left and gone to OEC down the road. I had my food to go, and it did not measure to the compiling disappointment. It took up half the box trying to be aesthetic. Plus, the rice and salmon was bland and greasy. I wouldn't even be as disappointed if I got the white rice that I asked for, but what I ended up getting was not worth the price or the wait. Granted, I should have clarified what I wanted and left when I got the inkling that they didn't serve poke. It was essential some subpar salmon fried rice in a box. But for the minimal portion that I got, lack of flavor, abundance of grease, length of wait, and inflated price that I paid, this will be my one and only visit. The overpriced sushi and gentrified menu surely did not impress me enough to come again...
