Taqueria mi mexico lindo y que rico — Restaurant in Ridgeland

First time here, traveling from Texas and wanted somenthing to eat. Googled mexican restaurants and this one popped up with good rating. Walked in and was not greeted at all, not a good start. Sat down and the RUDE waitress came to our table and asked for our drinks and already asking what we wanted to eat. Havent even looked at the menu yet. She left came back with drinks and asked again what we wanted to eat, in a very very rude way again!...i told her give me 5 min. She never came back would walk right past us and well doing her ugly faces while staring at us from the other side of the restaurant. Till i asked other lady to take our order she right away made her way to us. I asked for different person she refused and i just asked to get charged for the drinks and walked out. Went next door, better service! Oh and 17$ for 4 drinks!!!! Get better people to represent the company!!

Primera vez aquí, viajo desde Texas y quería algo de comer. Busqué en Google restaurantes mexicanos y este apareció con buena calificación. Entré y no me saludaron en absoluto, no fue un buen comienzo. Me sente y la camarera de muy mala actitud se acercó a nuestra mesa y pidió nuestras bebidas y ya preguntó qué queríamos comer. Ni siquiera he mirado el menú todavía. Ella se fue, volvió con bebidas y volvió a preguntar qué queríamos comer, ¡de una manera muy, muy grosera otra vez!... Le dije que me diera 5 minutos. Ella nunca regresó, pasaba junto a nosotros y hacía unas caras muy desagradables mientras nos miraba desde el otro lado del restaurante. Hasta que le pedí a otra señora que tomara nuestro pedido, ella de inmediato se dirigió hacia nosotros. Pregunté por una persona diferente, ella se negó y solo pedí que me cobraran por las bebidas y me fui. Fui al lado, ¡mejor servicio! ¡Ah, y 17$ por 4 bebidas! ¡¡Consigue mejores personas para representar a...

Why would you put up a language barrier for english speakers when you could just say it in english since your in Mississippi, and so you force people with no spanish language background to waste your time by asking, what is this? What is that? What does this word mean? What is pollo, what the heck is a plantonos? We literally had to google translate everything just to get a clue. We like good food, but can you meet us half way and make a SECOND menu in english? How hard would that be? It felt like we we in college trying to become a spanish...

Moving from California I was hell bent on finding Mexican food. All the other spots that are “Mexican” in the metro are about as authentic as Taco Bell. Found this gem tucked back and it’s good. My Spanish is not good but I can order and that’s about it. Most of the time there is someone that is bilingual. But the food is great. I wish they had al pastor on the spit. That is hard to find in California though so I get it but would love it if they did it would be a weekly spot for sure...
