Manjal Indian Cuisine | Best Indian Food in Ridgewood, NJ — Restaurant in Ridgewood

As you can see on my profile. I have been reviewing on google from decades but haven’t reviewed in while. The truth is I have decided to myself I will give review to place after I visit there three times.. three times means three times.. because previous what I had notice that I give review to place at my first or second visit and when I go for 3rd time or 4th time the food has changed or something happen and also disappointed with it. BTW my 3rd or 4th time is in months not in few days.

You may saying or thinking BC YEAH KYA BOL RAHA HAI YEAH.. BHAI YEAH PLACE KA REVIEW BATA NA..

The FOOD WAS amazing, you know why food was incredibly amazing because the staff members like Sridhar where amazing, you kow why Sridhar was amazing because we were amazing 🤩.. 😛

Iight bro we started our order with masala papad and you can see in my picture how the Masala papad looks like. I wish i had functionality to compare other restaurants Masala papad and this restaurant Masala papad. Google Hire me for your UX.

Next we ordered Tandoori Chicken and Achari Paneer.. oh man don’t even start on this IT WAS FREAKING AMAZING…. DONT ORDER TAKEOUT.. EAT THERE AND TRY THE FRESH HOT FOOD THERE. You don’t smell the same. Achi wali smell 👃 Nonsense.. beside Tandoor Chicken and paneer every single vegetable was well cooked.. BHAI DEKH Achari Paneer aesa ghar pe tu bana nahi sakta hai kyu ki you don’t have the same magic power they have in their food..

BHAI SERIOUSLY ME THAK GAYA AAGE BATA..

Ok dekh bhai baat aesi hai ki FRIED RICE with Chicken is not same as FRIED RICE with Panner because Chicken and Paneer is not the same lol 😆 BC iska kya yeah Chu**a hai. Nahi bhai but FRIED RICE were the same in both.. well cooked well fried and jo maza aaya hai 🤤 .

Also we had tried Pakodas, Malai Kofta, Dosa, Pav Bhaji Dosa, Cheese Naan, Roti and bahut saara bhai every thing was amazing.. YOU SHOULD MUST VISIT AND TRY

Iight long story short. This is the best and the BEST Indian restaurant in this neighborhood BTW we live very far from this place.. but Sridhar, Sudher, Hari and other team members kindness bring us back to place. They make a choice of yours… they do care about their customers.. they serve food with LOVE.. really really kind. I wish the best for this restaurant I hope they go long way..

I have BEEN seen good restaurants GOING GOOD TO BAD. Please don’t be one of them.. keep the same consistency and love for everyone and GO BIG. GO CREATIVE....

I was blown away by the experience. From the moment I walked in, I was impressed with the cozy ambiance and friendly staff especially Sridhar who is super friendly. The menu featured a variety of authentic Indian dishes, each more delicious than the last.

For starters, I ordered the masala papad and they were crispy, flavorful, and served with a mouth-watering toppings of cucumber onions and chat masala. We also ordered Chicken Tikka along with Achari Paneer Tikka for the Veg. person in the group. For our main course, we tried the Chicken Curry and Egg Curry which was recommended by Sridhar himself and Paneer Bhurji all of the dishes were simply amazing. The meat was cooked to perfection, the egg curry was delightful and traditionally cooked and the spices in all dishes were perfectly balanced, creating a burst of flavor in every bite.

To wash the curry down we ordered Chili Garlic Naan and Garlic Naan, super fresh and flavorful. We also wanted to try something north Indian style so we ordered Fried Rice then which was mind blowing. The entire meal was fantastic, and the service was impeccable, with the staff always checking in to ensure that everything was perfect.

Overall, I highly recommend Manjal Indian Cuisine to anyone looking for an authentic taste of Indian cuisine. The food was exceptional, the service was outstanding, and the ambiance...

So we really were looking for a place with decent dosas closer than Edison or Jersey city. We really wanted to love this place. Regrettably the dosas were a bit too thick and chewy (they are supposed to be thin and crispy). The sambhar was too thick and bland - it lacked the right spice profile. The coconut chutney was like soup, it wasn’t until we asked for some that we realized the chunky chutney part was at the bottom of the cup under water - suggesting perhaps this chutney is kept frozen and thawed. I totally understand it’s hard for small places to keep certain food stock fresh. But at least the coconut chutney should not be served watery like soup. I’m so sad to give this review but we ate here because it had a 4.4 and thought wow this place must be great. Maybe their other food is ok. I would not order the...
