Patchi Alotchi Barber Shop — Local services in Ridgewood

I have been getting my haircut here for 2 years. Today is the last time I will ever give them my money. I decided to give 2 stars because the establishment as a whole is great. The owner is great. My past two experiences have not been. One of the younger barbers used to put great effort into my haircuts. He has been my go to barber for the past year. It seems as the months have gone on with him, he has either gotten worse at giving haircuts or simply stopped caring as much. The past year of haircuts with him I have never had any problem and never had to correct him whatsoever. Today he was clearly in a rush, and was desperately trying to get me out of there so that he can cut someone else’s hair. I had to tell him to fix my hair at least twice before he tried kicking me out with a terrible rushed haircut. This is now two months of terrible haircuts in a row. A shame, because for 10 months and many haircuts there was no issue and I was happy to keep...

I been yesterday and I was totally disappointed. The cut experience was the weirdest of my entire life because everything I asked the barber did the opposite and this make me real uncomfortable and nervous First of all I ask always for a scissors cut but he was cutting my hair with shaver and hairclipper (cutting with machine cause me drizzy hair). He used the machine to cut everything when I told to go soft because I don’t have so much hair. I asked to don’t define any line and to don’t separate the sideburns and the beard. He had flu too so sometimes had to stop to pull the snot.

I don’t like to leave bad reviews in general but I work in hospitality so I greet people and now I feel insecure because I literally have holes that because I didn’t have I choose this barber because a friend suggest it and the first time with...

Patchi Alotchi was a good place. The prices at the Maple Barber Shop got really expensive. I had to make the decision to switch barbers. I came to this one for the first time, the price was fabulous, only 20 dollars for a sharp cut. The barber that I had was a bit of a playful guy with my hair. He had some missing equipment and was using some other razors as a substitute for others. The haircut was really good however it was theory enough for my liking. I would probably come back here for a haircut but to take the time to do it. The guy I had was also fast which I got a bit afraid on because I felt that he wasn’t getting what I wished for my hair. After all, I would kinda recommend this place especially for the pricing but for the cut, it was good...
