Read moreI love great French bakeries, and this one does not disappoint. Thankfully, their cakes and pastries are not as sweet as the average ones I've tried in recent years. With so many exquisite options on display, it was hard to choose, but the cashier was incredibly helpful. She patiently guided me through the selection, explaining which desserts were gluten-free, which were lighter, and which were richer, helping me pick based on my preferences.
My husband and I decided on "The Godwin," a gluten-free hazelnut and cream cake, and "The Lincoln," a chocolate mousse cake with a liqueur-infused bottom. Choosing a favorite was tough, as both were delicious. You can truly taste the care and passion they put into their baked goods.
The bakery also has a window into the kitchen, allowing you to watch the bakers prepare cakes and fresh bread. If you're in the mood for something more substantial, they offer a lovely lunch menu, including crepes, French toast (with or without proteins like eggs, bacon, or sausage), sandwiches, quiches, and soups.
For gifts, they have a variety of thoughtful options like specialty chocolates, premium coffee, and boxes of their cakes and tarts.
I was beyond thrilled with their decaf coffee. It was rich and bold, the perfect pairing for any of their desserts. Definitely worth the trip!

Read moreBeen coming here for a year now, everything on the menu is pretty great. The young staff is super friendly but lack knowledge of what's in menu items...eg are certain cheeses are made from goat or cows milk but quickly Google it for you 👍 Occasionally like 1in5 times I'll get a dry crepe.
The reason for the 3 stars are with the Circus not the food but it's enough to warrant the rating. 1) When you come here on the weekends it's packed and only 1 person is making crepes/eggs/French toast on the public view hotplates. You'll have to wait 25-30 min for your hotfood and by then you'll be done with your cappuccino but will not stand in line again for another cappuccino (which take 5or10 min when it's packed) to enjoy your hot breakfast with. 2) They let the trays and dishes pile high (see pic) and when I advised them the young staff only cleaned up the dishes but left the greasy trays piled high and they expect someone to sit there...patrons like me only sit there out of desperation from no seating. 3) it's so hot in this place on the weekends you are BEGGING for someone to walk in and let a cool breeze in. 4) Lastly the Google or Apple Pay never works and I have both so it's their service and since I live a few blocks away I often go into town early morning for a walk with just my phone.
These things can be corrected especially when I always see the young wait staff laughing it up for minutes on in and not working when...
