Greenwood's — Restaurant in Ridgway

Went for one of the bigger ticket items - New York strip Wagyu. Excellent though NY strip not a fav cut for this type of beef. Next time I’ll go for I believe is a better cut - the Porterhouse. Corn bread with Honey butter was so so good. Side salad was perfect: Roasted veggies that came with meat were some of the best. Overall, excellent food - NY cut is just not my preference.

My only complaint was the amount of flies inside. I can get down with hanging with the flies over a burger, or a beer. Over $110 piece of Wagyu ? Not so much. Highly recommend this establishment!! My daughter was getting married in Ridgway in October 2024...due to some unfortunate circumstances the place we had reserved to host a mixer for 40 people the night before the wedding..closed...fell thru and neglected to call me. Panic!! Marty, Chef Bill, Parker and the rest of Marty's team (with a great intro from Jarrad Lee) in less than 24 hours were able to carve out a full menu for us, enough warm seating, a special printed menu and of course cocktails! Chef Greenwood does not disappoint!! My third time dining here, and I feel it gets better with every visit. During this visit I tried the pot roast with mashed potatoes and carrots. This man has a talent for creating amazing dishes that you can not pass up. Being a bigger guy, I was not disappointed with the portion. The flavor packed into this dish was fulfilling. The meat was super tender, and the sauce was plate licking necessary.

The food obviously is the centerpiece, but don't shy away from the cocktail menu. A great selection of refreshing drinks available to sip on while taking in the beautiful view outside. If in or around Ridgeway, Greenwoods is a MUST STOP dining experience. You will not be...
