We stopped by this cafe in the afternoon, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. The staff seemed to have an attitude—particularly the lady at the pastry counter, who wasn’t friendly at all. To make matters worse, there was a man outside the cafe blocking our stroller. Despite my husband politely asking him three times to let us through, he was rude and refused to move. It wasn’t until three kind caballeros intervened that he finally moved, but it was clear he was being rude just because we looked like tourists. As a Puerto Rican myself, it was disheartening to encounter this kind of behavior both inside and outside the cafe—it’s not reflective of the warmth and kindness of the island’s people.
To top it off, the pastries didn’t impress either. Thankfully, we found a better panadería just five minutes up the road, where the staff was friendly, and the pastries were delicious. I wouldn’t recommend this spot based on...
