As I walked in the door it was as if I walked through a time window and transformed back to a simpler time in the past. This is a great little diner In downtown Ringgold. After entry I noted there was the obligatory table of gentlemen discussing politics and a scattering of people through out the diner eating breakfast at 7:00am. Outside was a parking lot full of trucks. If you want an insider tip always pick diners that have a lot of pickup trucks. That's the true test of a diners food quality. The bigger and dirtier the trucks are the better the food will be.
The server took my order and within a few minutes came out a beautiful plate of sausage, eggs, 2 biscuits and a bowl of gravy. If there is a better way to start the day I don't know what it is. The sausage was thick and tasty but not too salty as sausage can be at other places. The biscuits were fluffy and cooked perfectly too. After topping the biscuits with the gravy I had a meal that would satisfy anyone. Great job and it was priced...
Read morePam's Place is like one of those "hidden treasures" in a small town, that you used to read about in magazines.
It's only open for breakfast and lunch, and despite how busy it always is, there always seems to be a table available, due to the amazing service of the wait staff.
The food is exquisite. Every bite tastes like something you would eat at your mother's or grandmother's.
The price is very reasonable, and below what you would expect to pay.
It's not uncommon to see the owner working in the kitchen, the dining room, or interacting with the patrons. Most of the clientele are of the older generation, and they are very loyal, and that should speak volumes!
If you're just passing through, or visiting the heart of downtown Ringgold, stop by and grab a bite while you're there! It's only a few miles off the interstate. You won't regret it!! It's my grandfather's...

Now, if they "bless your heart"... I can't guarantee what that may mean, only because that phrase can mean many things in a southern heritage. By my fourth visit, they already knew what my order was going to be. The food you get here is made with lots of love, southern charm, and accompanied by courteous smiles. I, for one,...
