Ringwood Pizza — Restaurant in Ringwood

My wife and I have read the wonderful reviews for Ringwood Pizza, and this evening we traveled from West Milford to try the food there. We had the Italian salad, an order of meatballs, and and their Buffalo chicken wings. Since this was our first visit, we didn't know whether to order at the counter, or sit in a booth to request our food. There were three gentlemen sitting in the dining area who responded to our questions about the proper order protocol by letting us know that they would be happy to take our order and bring it when ready. That interaction opened to us a wonderful conversation about pictures on the walls and we immediately felt welcomed. It's so reassuring to a first-time customer to have members of the restaurant's ownership and staff engage them in a manner that communicates they're proud of their restaurant and food, and that's exactly what my wife and I experienced.

The food arrived in a very good time period. The Italian salad contained very fresh vegetables (tomatoes, lettuce, and sliced onions), delicious olives (both black and green), slices of provolone cheese, and perhaps the best sweet, marinated peppers we've ever tasted. That was followed by two meatballs the size of tennis balls covered in tomato sauce. My wife talked during our ride home about how much she enjoyed these meatballs. And as 70 year old people from Italian descent we feel experienced in evaluating good Italian, and Italian-American food. The Buffalo Wings were also terrific. They were seasoned correctly to let us know there was an enjoyable level of spice/heat, and fried to deliver excellent crunch and tender meat. When combined with the blue cheese dressing the wings delivered a perfect bite of food.

Our experience at Ringwood Pizza today has ensured that we will return there to eagerly continue trying their other menu items. Excellent Italian...

They're chicken parm hero is really good. The chicken was very juicy, but the sauce that's on that kind of runs it a little. Their marinara needs work. They have really good bread. So I imagine most of their sandwich would come out pretty good. We got a spaghetti and meatballs. The sauce needs Improvement as I said before. The meatball and the pasta were good though. The lady at the front desk was nasty and argumentative. I asked if they had a kids spaghetti and meatball. She said yes we can do that. She never mentioned that there will be an upcharge. I've been a waiter for years and I always mentioned up charges to my customers so they're fully informed when they make their decisions on what they want to eat. The upcharge was more money than the dish itself. I understand one or two dollars and not mentioning it. But that is kind of scummy to not mention that kind of upcharge. She could also said that we don't make a kids spaghetti meatball we make a kid spaghetti which would have been less than half the price. You should never spend other people's money, especially without letting them know... instead of saying sorry or coming to a different agreement, Or acknowledging the situation at in an understanding way, she went back and forth with me unnecessarily, when I was just wanted to adjust my order... she also got my order confused with somebody else's and also tried to charge me incorrectly at first. I will never be going back. I still gave a four-star rating because the food was decent even though their employee,...

I have been working a job for about 4 years now. Every Saturday and Sunday, my boss will order 1-3 pies for me and my co-workers. I have to say, the pizza here is INCREDIBLE. HOWEVER, I find it when it's ordered "well done" it's even better! I live about 55 minutes round trip from this place and still will order it over my local joint 3 minutes away. That's how you know this place is good. The onion pizza is my favorite they offer, however I have also had their plain, pepperoni, and Sicilian buffalo chicken pies as well. All great options. When we have events (corporate outings, bachelor/bachelorette parties, birthdays. etc. We will get Ringwood Pizza catered for us and the guests. The penne vodka is AMAZING and the fried calamari is also extremely delicious. I have never seen a whole tray of penne vodka disappear as fast as this before. Amazing Food, amazing quality, amazing consistency. My absolute, hands down, favorite pizza place...
