Cool Hand Luke's Steakhouse — Restaurant in Riverbank

We had the worst service I've ever experienced here ON A WEEKDAY. We ordered the prime rib and both of ours came out rubbery and with a tough microwaved texture. It was inedible. We hate complaining at restaurants but I had to say something, I politely called over the "manager" who was a small of stature man with dark hair and he very impatiently huffed and puffed "well what do you want me to do about it"(mind you there's only 3 tables in the restaurant at this time and one hasn't even ordered) I was in shock. So we asked for the ribeye as replacements if that was possible he exclaimed "everything's already off in the kitchen" mind you this is 20 minutes before closing!! As a seasoned service industry professional I know it's a big NO NO to have everything off this early before closing, I'm sure the owners would be extremely displeased to hear this. I know for a fact that these steaks are cooked over an open flame gas grill which will only take a second to turn on to be in use. I ask him if they have a open flame gas grill. He GRITS through his teeth "yes we do" with the absolute blackest eyes I've ever seen he glares at me with hatred. He's puts in the order and when we receive it he SLAMS it down on the table, I kid you not these ribeyes look like a whole ribeye sliced thinner horizontally and drug through a charred dirty grill. Though our server was a sweet and polite girl who did a great job, I fear this little angry manager is in the absolute wrong industry. We will NEVER EVER comeback to Cool Hand Luke's due to our treatment and the atrocious excuse for prime rib and ribeyes we received that night, quality control was out the window and management was wholly unprofessional and aggressive. I will tell everyone I can about this horrible experience. Judging by the low rating this isn't the first time and unless something changes, it won't be the last. Worse service every. I was there today for my son 44th birthday with my family. We checked in at 5:35 pm, at that time we were informed that it would be a 25 minute wait because we had a large group (10 people, 4 adults 6 children). We were seated at 6:10 pm by the hostess, and she returned with beans, bread, and butter. Our waitress did not come to take our drink order until 7 pm. She took our drink and food order at that time. We did not see her again until 7:30 with our drinks. It was another 15 minutes before we received our soups and salads. We finally got our dinners close to 8 pm. This was the worse service I have ever experienced in my 60 years of life. No one should have been treated the way we were. I finally asked for to go boxes and the check because it was getting late and my grandchildren have school tomorrow. It took another 5 to 10 minutes before someone realized that I was waiting at the front counter to pay and then they had to go find our server so she could take my payment for our meals. Dinner for 10 in a restaurant that was not 1/2 full should not take 45 minutes to get a drink of water. Total time there 5:30 to 8:12. Drinks and food order took 45 minutes after being seated, drinks arrived 20 minutes after ordered, food arrived (soup & salad) arrived 15 to 20 minutes later, and finally another 15 to 20 minutes later main course finally arrived. I ordered today for dinner through DoorDash. First time ordering here. Food was ok if you are from here Texas Roadhouse is better. The mash potatoes were ok, the steak was ok a little dry and I thought steak fries had like bacon and cheese on top. They call steak fries to regular French fries lol adding to that the lady who answer the phone was rude and has no customer service at all. She did not say thank you at the end of the call, and I called 2 times one time I called to ask if the order went through since I ordered through door dash same lady over the phone. Second time I called because my fries had nothing and I though they forgot the steak and cheese but they are just plain French fries that just how they call them and she made the call sound like I was dumb saying ok never apologize or thank ending the call. We are in pandemic times you guys need to make the customer feel welcome we don’t need you guys business needs us and food was not even cheap or great. I preferred Texas road house the service there is just really impressing go to Texas Roadhouse!! Wanted to try something new but I stick to where they treat me nice and appreciate my business....
