I attended a birthday party for my cousin yesterday at Fin and Feathers and it was by far the worst experience I have had at a F&F location. We were seated on time for our reservations and had water brought out which was great. After that, our server told us to make sure we looked at the menu “NOW” because when she came back she would be taking everyone’s orders. After about 20 min she comes back and we give her our drink and our food orders. 30 min later our table still doesn’t have all of our drinks and they have brought out one plate of food (for a party of 12). After another server brought out that single plate - which was presented with an attitude - the tone of the party is now shifting. I personally pull the manager on duty to the side to tell him we aren’t having a great experience right now, your staff is giving us attitude and we still don’t even have all of our drinks. He says okay and never comes to check on us. We asked for him 3 more times. Still never came to the table. After more time passing sitting there and still not having all our food and drinks, some of the party starts to order drinks straight from the bar. Meanwhile our server and other staff are line dancing and twerking while our table is being very neglected. At almost 3p we canceled our food because we still had not received anything. Our reservation was at 1:30! We ask for the checks for our drinks to pay for those and leave. 15 MORE minutes pass and no one comes with our checks. At this point we leave some money on the table and get up to go. Now that the entire party is out the door, here comes our server flagging us down with our bill. The ONLY time we had seen any type of hustling to help us was when we were already fed up and ready to go. The server and the manager then get up in our faces telling us they are going to call the police. The manager Gabriel, who I approached earlier to help de-escalate the situation, then decide to tell my cousin “you older ladies should know how to be more patient”. So not only has the service been horrible, you then choose to disrespect your customers instead of apologizing and trying to rectify the situation. You have a full house and only 2 servers and 1 bartender during a Sunday brunch? The lack of concern for your customers and the lack of concern for your own establishment by being severely understaffed is ridiculous. I have never in my life had an experience like this. To the point where security was standing with US as they are threatening to call the police saying he understands our frustration. It’s 3:38p and NONE of us have eaten anything but Gabriel and his staff’s frustration and attitude. I would NEVER go back to this establishment or any other F&F for that point. And I will tell those I know to find somewhere else to go where your money and time is actually valued. The only reason the server and manager chased us out the door is because they knew that whatever hadn’t been covered by the $55 on the table - that our server with the braces and the locs put in her apron and decided to try and not add to our bill like a damn thief - is because they didn’t want to have to pay for that portion themselves. As someone who works as a server and bartender, I can say this was beyond unacceptable behavior and service. I have zero reviews on the food because we never ate. In terms of the atmosphere, it’s a beautiful space. It COULD be great in there but until they find new management, they will never reach the heights they could be. 0/10 would absolutely...
Read moreI usually only do reviews if the experience was great or extremely disappointing. I recently discovered the Riverdale location about 3 weeks ago, which has been perfect since its much closer to my house vs Edgewood and Midtown. For the last two weeks I've visited the Riverdale location 4 times because I enjoy the afternoon/lunch vibe and the bartenders and the staff are always great. I've had such a great experience, I told two family members who traveled from out of town and were staying at my house on Friday, April 18th, before their birthday trip to Mexico the following morning. After driving 4hrs to get intown, they were hungry and came directly to Fin n Feathers to meet me and arrived to the restaurant around 2:15pm. We sat at the bar as I usually have been doing since I started visiting this location. The 3 of us sat at the bar together and both of my family members immediately like the ambiance. I told them how its so much convenient and how theres no hassle with parking nor the need to pay street parking like the other locations, which was perfect. We a round of bday drinks and they were ready to order food as there havent eaten anything as of yet this day. They ordered the food and we literally watched the bartender enter the order in the system and also reconfirmed the ordered was correct. Perfect. Things were looking upward. The drinks were great, the vibe was on point and the hookah was hitting. We watched several people come to the bar as well as the immediately seating area near the bar. Well about 30mins later we wee wondering what's going on with the food. The next thing you know, a food runner was bringing out the food and we told him this wasn't our order. He apologized and took it to the correct party, which was for sure saw enter about 20ish minutes after us. Again, we didnt think much because we were drinking and smoking hookah and just discussing the trip plans. About 5 -10mins later, the Manager on duty came and was bringing a chicken Caesar wrap. We told him thats not our ordered, and I mentioned, I actually ordered and ate a wrap already when I first got here (which I arrived about 30mins before my family). By this time its 40-45mins and again, they're hungry because they hadn't eaten anything and we've been drinking so we asked to keep the wrap. The Manager on duty advised he would give a discount but when the check arrived he refused and said he didn't charge for the wrap ($5). The tab was maybe $126. The Manager never apologized or showed any empathy for waiting 1hr. I was flabbergasted! A great experience turned horrible! The Manager does not understand good customer service! He had the option to correct this and make the experience better but he wouldn't. The bartender and staff were great and the only...
Read moreWhere do I begin? This place was not on my radar to visit especially this day but we decided to try it out given that our normal spot was closed for the night. We entered and was greeted by a beautiful smile and warm energy from the hostess. When asked where would we like to sit we ended up in the corner away from the actual interactions of the people but turned out to be where everyone wanted to come over to because we had the livest energy and support for those participating in karaoke. The waitress was tough she asked us to scan the qr code to review the menu and she would comeback with our waters to start off.We received our waters and proceeded to order originally I ordered the mulland drive and wings while my cousin attempted to order from the happy hour at 8:02 (closes at 8pm) which she was denied. So we proceeded to ask what were the options for the ladies night martini special. The waitress responded “we have all flavors”! No suggestions or breakdown was included on the menu so that’s why we asked the question. After that my cousin decided to have a sprite while I waited for my drink and food. 12 mins later the food arrives and the wings were terribly burnt the presentation was horrible and yet another feeling of disappointment was created. See below the wings and you tell me if you would eat this just off the picture? The manager came over and asked what’s wrong with the food because it was there policy to “touch the table”. I explained the issue in detail about the food being severely overcooked and covered up with sauce. She proceeded to ask can she recook them and make the crunchy this was my indication to just leave but I choose to get the chicken tacos and give them a chance to make it right. As we began to mingle with other ladies and jam to the music the place was stormed by police officers who combed the place for a suspected person of interest. It was then that I knew this place will never be able to bounce back from this. I will give this place a 2 because of the host great impression and the dj sending us down to the dance floor with the old school jams. As for the other locations I’m sure they maybe worth the visit but I would seriously recommend that the business owner revamp, train, hire and restructure before this...
