Oh K-Dog & Egg Toast at Riverdale — Restaurant in Riverdale

I've had Korean Hot Dogs many times before, so I had high hopes for this place. First and foremost, I had to wait for almost 5 min to be acknowledged at the counter. There were two people working, and one was looking directly at me, but was handling ingredients and just kept going with no acknowledgement that they would be with me in a minute - they looked at me and just went back to what they were doing. There were people that were in line behind me as well asking if I knew what was going on- so it was bad start already with customer service. I already knew what the cook time is for these types of hot dogs was so that wasn't a problem. However, they didn't do a good job of putting the batter on hot dog and the middle section was too big. As a result, the batter in the middle section was not fully cooked. Neither my daughter or I could finish them and ended up throwing them out. I didn't feel like going back up to the counter to complain based on the experience I had already had. First visit overall impression was really...

Great customer service!!! I ordered half mozzarella half beef and the second dog was also half-and-half, but w/sweet potato. Cashier was very helpful and recommended rolling both dogs in sugar concoction as well as adding the garlic sauce and ketchup.Loved it!! Only issues was I don’t think my hot dog was beef so I tossed the meat and ate the rest (I’m Muslim and have never eaten pork, couldn’t take the chance). I did call to ask if they could double check if maybe I was accidentally given pork I was reassured that it was beef. I did try it, but it taste too funny and I’m assuming it may just be a very low grade of beef, but still in fact beef. ordered a corn dog, guys says ok gimmie 10 mins. we walk around 10 mins, come back, theres a sign up that say be back in 5 min. we wait. guy comes back, says have you ordered already, i said yes almost 20 mins ago. goes to the back, comes back, we will be cooking you a new one, this one burnt. we wait, and can hear employee laughing behind the curtain. 30 mins and $14 later we get our 1 corndog. regret putting my $5 tip in the jar or even coming to the place....
