I haven't been here in a while due to the poor customer service from the female employees and the small polrtion sizes. Spending more money to get a so-called large plate is an absolute waste of money. You're better off getting a smale plate cuz they scam you with the portion sizes on a large. You pay for a large but get the same amount with a small plate. Anyway, thought I'd give this place another go after years of not patronizing them but I see nothing has changed with this location and ithis evening viist to back this location was no different and was confirmation as to why I don't patronize this type of establishment. The female workers there are very bad for business. There are not friendly or courteous. They never smile. They're rude, have bad attitudes and are very disrespectful. Their communication is very poor. And on top of that there is definitely an obvious difference in how the female staff treat women customers. They're act like they don't want to deal with you unless you're a man. Was not greeted upon entering. They're very friendly, pleasant, nice and accommodating to men. They're not at all like that with other women like myself. However despite that I still showed myself friendly and said hello to the lady that fixed my platter. I watched as she piled food on top of food to the point of overflow in the container of the man standing in front of me. However, when it came time for her to fix my plate she gave me a container full of chicken bones instead of actual chicken legs or thighs and the portion size of a small when I ordered a large. Not only that, I noticed she had not put plantains in my container, and when I called her out on it she didn't acknowledge nor aplogize for not doing so. I spoke with the other older lady at the register about it and was rudely told to move down towards the end to wait to speak with the manager. While, the manager was friendly and somewhat accommodating and even apologetic, they only added 1 piece of chicken when I should have received at least 2 additional pieces of chicken to equate to a large and justify the cost of what they charge for it. I don't tolerate disrespect and poor customer service especially when it comes to my money so I definitely will not be returning after this yet again unpleasant experience. Word of advice to the owner, while I appreciate your response in advance to my post, I would appreciate it even more if you actually made some executive decisions with your mainly all female staff. You need to inderstand the female workers are bad for your business. You need to get people in there with the right atttitudes and mannerisms because your female staff doesn't seem to care that they're hurting and are poorly representing your business. I suggest speaking with them, even show them these honest 1 and 2 star reviews from customers like myself. We're all pretty much are saying the same thing so we all can't be wrong. Make the necessary changes(firing, hiring and customer service training) and improve your establishment...

I hope the gentleman that owns this place reads this, 1.I have a GC restaurant close to me and I choose to drive all the way to your store. I bring friends there with me to get food and I recommend your spot often to folks that have never eaten JA food. 3. When I started coming there, your food tasted the best, but it seems to have dropped off some, but the portions are perfect and are great deals for the price.

Now this part is a major issue for me and can move my business someplace else, these new ladies you have working up front need to be trained, they serve food like slop, their customer service skills are very lacking and they are very aggressive and argumentative, when a customer has an issue or even so much as a question about their order. A server should never argue with a customer, if needed, a manager should be available to handle rough situations that these ladies clearly are not equipped to deal with professionally.

Customer service needs to be improved on more than anything, if i am to continue to give you my business. If it is not known, let me be the first to tell you that customer service is everything. 3 of these ladies and their hoggish attitudes should not treat a decent paying customers like they live in the street. This is the 3rd time I have lost my appetite in the middle of eating a meal that I bought from your place, simply because I found myself having reflected on the way it was served, and i just threw away the rest.

Listen, I enjoy the food, I love the portions ( big or small orders ), and I miss the old crew and their smiling faces, they were awesome. Fix your new crew, they seem not to like their job and if so, should work elsewhere. If I experience this again, me and my friends are done, I am sure I can find another good tasting GC, no matter how far away.

Customer service is...

Five star doesn’t mean it was the best I’ve ever tasted but overall on my first visit I don’t see any reason to drop a star. In a plaza, cafeteria style display although some entrées come from the back. Prices seem fair and they had lunch specials at reduced prices. You can order small or large portion. They have fresh juices. I like the hibiscus, but I didn’t like the cucumber. I ordered a small drink and it was $6.25 and appeared to be a large. If this was their small then I wonder what their large looks like. I ordered a large veggie plate and they loaded it. I asked for double cabbage, instead of rice and peas, along with peas w/dumplings and a couple plantains. I should have asked for more plantains and less peas. Dumplings are just fillers, I prefer the dish without the dumplings. they seem to have many bread and dessert options but not everything was available at that time. Fast food, nice service, no issues really. Good traditional American approved Jamaican menu. Wish the meat pies have more meat and less bean paste-I know that’s traditional tho. Cabbage was tasty, peas were tasty with a coconut taste, and plantains were perfect. They have other veggies, I like that, but they wouldn’t let me switch Rice for the other veggies as we all know Rice stretches far with little money.
