Great Wall Kitchen — Restaurant in Riverdale

I have been eating at this restaurant for a long time. I've witnessed it change ownership a time or two as well. For the most part, the food is still pretty good. I have had a few occassions that the food was not as good as other times. I have also witnessed times when the restaurant was not cleaned properly. As a result, I stopped going for a while. I've just recently started eating there again. My last visit was a good one. No problems at all. The customer service varies depending on who is serving you. My last experience was pleasant. The food is always good and the restaurant clean. I would have given them a 5 star rating if I hadn't seen the open containers of wontons, egg rolls and another container lying uncovered on the countertop. One young fellow, after ringing up a customer, turned around, grabbed the tongues that were in one container, loaded up the Fryer and threw the tongues back into the container. I usually don't do this but, I had to. I ordered $40 worth of food from them. Among the items ordered, was the beef and broccoli. as I was making plates for my children, I saw a roach in the food. Needless to say I was mortified. I took it back there and I had to pass by the guy who is selling drugs and DVD's in their waiting area. I showed it to them and they were not that surprised. He did state to me that they just had the exterminator out and it should not have happened. He gave me my money back but that didn't do it for me. I'm done with this...
