5 Stars (and a Unicorn Horn)
Okay, buckle up, folks. This isn't just a restaurant review. It's a culinary odyssey that will have you questioning your life choices up to this point. Why? Because you haven’t been to Excaret Mexico Bar & Grill sooner, that's why.
First, let's talk margaritas. These aren't just any margaritas; they're like the Beyoncé of margaritas. Custom blended tequila that's so smooth, it's like the liquid version of a velvet Elvis painting. If these margaritas were any more customized, they'd have your name and life story written in lime zest at the bottom of the glass.
Now, the food. Oh, sweet guacamole, the food! Imagine if a Mexican chef and a wizard had a food baby. This is it. This isn't the typical "Taco Tuesday" fare; it's more like "What-the-Heck-is-Going-On-in-My-Mouth Wednesday." And that's a good thing. Everything is fresh, vibrant, and has more character than a telenovela.
Let's get weird for a sec: the custom sauces. Guys, they have a honey and cashew sauce that is so bonkers good, you’ll want to bathe in it. I'm not saying you should, but the option is tempting. It’s like they took a regular Mexican eggroll, waved a magic wand, and turned it into a unicorn of flavor that poops rainbows on your taste buds.
So, if you're in Haysville and you don't visit Excaret Mexico Bar & Grill, I have to question your commitment to joy and deliciousness. This place is where culinary dreams and a dash of delightful insanity come together in a fiesta of flavors.

Read moreWow, what a great first impression!! We have been wanting to visit this place for a while now and so sorry we took so long! Coming from the larger part of town with plenty of similar options we were ready to try something less mainstream and this checked all the boxes for us. We were promptly seated, ordering was simple and menu was not complicated with too many options. Server told us of their specials before we ordered. Food came out much faster than dining at a busier establishment. Everything was hot, fresh, and for once the rice was NOT dried out like every other Mexican restaurant! We were also greeted by the owner and that really nailed it home for us by giving that extra touch of feeling like family even when it was our first visit. Sometimes eating out feels like a chore these days, a chore that I have to pay my hard earned money for and this was a different experience! Best burrito I have had in the area! Left full and happy! Thank you, will definitely be back to try...
Read moreEverything was phenomenal, except the temperature inside. That is the only reason I did not give 5 stars. We arrived around 5:30 pm, it had been the hottest day of the year last week, and they were just turning on their window air conditioner. On days it is going to be record heat, those should be turned on first thing in the morning. Almost took the food to go because it was miserable inside. The chicken eggrolls were delicious with the cashew sauce. The birria tacos were a little spicy for me, but not their fault I have no spicy tolerance, and my husband loved them when I took home the leftovers. I want to take my husband, but may have to wait until the temperature outside cools down, or just order to go. Today, chicken in the eggrolls was hard and tasted old. The fried tacos are not true fried tacos. They are tacos in a flour shell. Any fried tacos I have ever had anywhere else, the ingredients are put in, then fried...
