Great Wall Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in Riverside Township

Terrible. Not sure why I went back but gave it another try. Ordered over phone and all started there. Lady was very rude but I chalked that up to maybe language barrier which haven't had issues here in past. Wife went to pick up said same lady watched her walk in but proceeded to go sit down and play on her phone. Told her we called in order and she seemed put out to go get it and to get off her phone. Was kinda snarky even though our order was the only one on the counter. Now to the food. Ordered one order of "house specialty" combination fried rice and order of 4 crab rangoon. Rice was dry and hard which had been this was in last 3 trips or so over last few months. Pork and chicken were dry and bland but edible. Shrimp was terrible! Dry, fishy, smelly, funky shrimp lol. Tasted like the really cheap frozen shrimp we in this house only buy for cheap fish bait for the little ones. Almost dirty tasting like hadn't been deveined. Rangoon was ok and only reason giving 2 stars which I very rarely give lower than a 3 star. All in all we will not be back. This is many of subpar trips shit after the last couple I'm calling it quits. Sad to see as not a lot of options in Haysville especially if you catch yourself eating out a lot with busy...

How have they not been turned into Health Dept for an Inspection? No customers. They watch me struggle trying to get Mom's Wheelchair out of trunk. Got stuck trying to keep door open wide enough while helping Mom get over bump & inside. No offers to help. Soon as walked in everything FILTHY, obviously not wiped down, brownish-yellow hue everywhere. BA NOT handicap accessible. Sticky floors. Entire open air box of plastic flimsy spoons covered in greasy, slime. Went thru bottom of box, all felt NASTY. I asked for a clean spoon, he pointed to box, told him sticky, gave me nasty 1 anyway. Esp w/COVID precautions can't believe they have cardboard box everyone stick hands in & grab worthless plastic utensils. Around their plastic divider discolored, sticky, filthy everywhere. "Fried rice" looked like yellow, bland rice you get frozen TV dinners. Mom's pork for Sweet & Sour Pork was burnt, hard to chew, didn't taste right. Mom doesn't get out much. We looked FWD to Great Wall food. Filthy & disappointing. Why hasn't Great Wall corporate shutdown this location?? Destroying the brand's reputation. Some kindness & helpfulness w/ older customers could keep you...

I am from Portland Oregon. We have excellent Asian restaurants. Great Wall will make whatever u ask for here. Excellent menu. They need to fix their cooking hoods because they r too loud to enjoy a meal while in this sit down place. Also, the man who owns and runs the place is overstretched and needs more help because on January 3 it took three full minutes before he even knew I was standing at his counter. I had announced my presence when I walked thru the front door by saying "I'm back!" Then I adked for Broccoli in Garlic sauce yet received Beef in Garlic sayce. This was my third visit to Great Wall in a week and he did not remember that I am vegetarian either. He is over tired. Human. Excellent cooking. Excellent sayces.
