Polar Bear — Restaurant in Riverside Township

I understand giving the neighborhood place a good rating but you cant be serious the 17 year old girl sold my 9 year old a 5 dollar tiny qhat the call a bear flurry ....what a joke 5 dollars i dont care but its the size of a small soda with not enough oreo to even taste anything but vanilla icecream what a sham thats why baskin robbins and cold stone and placea like that stay open and mom pop shops close cauze they try to make to much money off a shake i would rather give my 5.6.7.whatever dollars to a major company and get a real oreo shake than a vanilla super small and support some small shop that survives off of guilt trip that its there lively hood and have nerve to throw thr guiltbtrip further with the colledge bound tip cup lololol i got 2 in colledge and dont walk aroynd with a cup for there tuition ....HAVE SOME DIGNITY AS A BUSINESS REALLY GET IT TOGETHER....THIS PLACW IN MY...

I know they have delish ice cream from years past! This visit was bad. They were busy and we were happy to wait our turn. We waited in line for 15 or 20 minutes and made it to the register. There were 3 people working at roughly the pace of molasses is January. Not one of them said a word. Not "hi" not "be with you asap" not "just a minute" literally no acknowledgement. We waited another 5 minutes watching them work. Again, they were busy. Totally get it and happy to wait my turn. But one of them should have said SOMETHING! It was pretty rude actually and we decided to leave without ever a word having been spoken. Understand that a "Hi, be with you as soon as I can!" isn't a huge ask. I'd have happily waited another 20 minutes if only they'd have acknowledged us. It isn't the same place I grew...

All these years I've been driving by and finally stopped to try this place. My hopes were way high. 1st disappointment- no pecans..what's a turtle sundae without them? Second disappointment- ice cream was already melty the minute I received it. My dog enjoyed his pup cup though.

In response to owner- so sorry that I hit a nerve. I was simply giving my honest review. Yes, it's my first time visiting your establishment, but Im definitely not new to premium ice cream. Just so you know, I did ask for pecans before ordering which is why I didn't get the turtle sundae instead I ordered the oreo concrete..again, it didn't even come close to Andy's or Dairy Queen and that's a basic dessert.
