I liked the atmosphere. I LOVED the variety of music! My drink, a Mexican Mule was good. (same as Moscow Mule but with tequila instead of vodka.) I have 2 suggestions: They should add a middke-of-the-road tequila, such as Jose Cuervo Reposado, etc. Reason: They only carry 2 tequilas.... 1 of which is a "well" quality which just doesnt that great & likely to give most people a headache; the other the opposite extreme.... 2 high-end brands which come along with a FOUR $ upcharge! Every bar I have ever been to also has a standard middle-of-the-road reposado tequila. Typically Jose Cuervo Reposado, but there's plenty of other well known, reasobably priced & good tasting brands stocked in bars. When Im in a bar, I almost always order a cocktail with a reposado tequila. There's either NO upcharge or at most a buck more. My example is that bars offer both a "silver" a & "gold" rum. (Rum is my 2nd go-to.... & I always ask for the gold.) But with tequila it's "blanco" (it's clear & not aged), "reposado" (light amber & "rested"/aged under a year), & "anejo" (darker amber, aged 1 to 4 years). Like any other distilled alcohol, there are a ton of brands & qualities, & even variety of qualities within a single brand. Ex. Jose Cuervo has several blancos & reposados available & even more than one anejo. My point being.... it's odd not having one that's between a well tequila (cheap) & premium (expensive). The other suggestion is about the pizza. It was just "okay". It was a tad salty.... which I think was to make up for the fact that the sauce was pretty tasteless. All that is needed is more herbs! The most obvious ones being oregano & garlic. Yes, it will cost a few pennies out of profit. But it will be hugely made up for by more repeat customers & new customers as a result of word-of-mouth because the sauce will be flavorful instead of salty. But I will still go back again for a drink or two & try something else on the menu. Just wish the pizza was more interesting cuz it's great food to eat at the bar. Hope the owner reads this, does NOT take offense & is willing to take the...
Read moreMy wife and I came in to check this place out after driving by for months. When we arrived, we sat at the bar and no one checked in with us for almost 10 minutes. We kept trying to get the bartender's attention, but she was clearly understaffed. Eventually, and right in front of us she asked another guy who if he could please help her by taking our orders. He looked at her, said "no" and walked away into the back. There was another guy who was milling around every so often, and this guy who just flat out denied her request to help us. But, she seemed to be the only one trying to serve the entire place. Eventually, the gentleman next to us said, "wait, you guys still haven't gotten drinks? Hold on!" I think he was a regular because he quite boldly made sure the bartender, and most of the bar, knew we hadn't been served at all yet and again were sitting at the bar itself. The bartender/waitress/busser (she was working the three tables that had people at them, as well as the bar, and was also cleaning things) apologized and got us our drinks. We were so turned off by the service that we made sure to close our tab at the purchase and left after our one beer.
To be clear, not upset with the bartender, but more just about what seems like poor staffing and therefore the service...
Read moreThe service today was horrible, the server or bartender whatever she is was rude. She didn't bother to ask if anyone at our table needed another round of drinks after walking by our table several times. I had to get her attention just so we could order a 2nd round. I waited patiently for 15 minutes, and then I realized she wasn't coming, she was preparing drinks for the rest of the people in there, knowing we had placed our drink order before everyone else. After 15 minutes, I had to get up and go to remind her, she acted as if she didn't know what I was talking about. The food was bad, the pizza was burnt. The bruschetta's avocado was old. This place used to be great until the new owner took over. This experience wasn't worth the $105 we spent there for...
