Hotlanta Wings and Things — Restaurant in Riverside

I was super excited to give this place a try me and my love. As soon as we went in I should have known not to. Couldn't tell who worked there because there was no uniforms. I ordered boneless chicken and fries with a side of yams and bbq sauce on the side and my love got shrimp and chicken, mac n cheese & greens. While we were asking the lady taking our order questions we kept getting interrupted because she was listening to her coworker helping someone else and didn't once say excuse me and kept talking in between our order and finally finished ordering after 5 minutes she said the wait would be 15 minutes so we waited inside on the high chairs people came in after us and got food done before us the lady that took the order left and came back after 10 mins with subway. The other lady at the front was much better I ordered some peach cobbler and then went back to the side a few more ppl got food. I went and asked them for the order and she said she'll check. Overall it took 45 to an hour for my food and the order was wrong. I asked for boneless strips and got 10 bbq chicken wings, no yams and no fries... The sides were not that great. The chicken was ok. I only liked the cobbler not the peaches. The chicken and shrimp came with 4 shrimps... they are stingy with the portions. The 2 stars are for the light skinned lady with the hair slicked back with blonde and dark roots she made it less dreadful and if I would think if I went through with ordering with her we would not have been forgotten and the order would have been right. Not ever...

Food is fantastic! We were helped by Crystal [braided hair and huge smile]. She was so helpful & obviously proud of the place that I honestly thought she owned the restaurant. Everyone else was polite, but Crystal stood out for her friendliness & customer service. Place is a little shabby in a questionable location, but clean. Marked down because as others noted, wait times are really high...about an hour for counter order and there's no restroom. They have a setup so you can use the restroom at the gas station next door, but the gas station worker was kinda a sourpuss about it. It's clear why most people call in their order to go. We got ribs, 'cajun cali' wings, hot links & chicken strips. All of the meat was great - really star of the plates. The ribs were some of the best I've had, a bit on the sweet side for some maybe, but I loved them. The wings are small, but there was more than I expected & they were super tender & flavorful. The hot links had great flavor, served simply on a hotdog bun. For sides we got fries, greens & mac-n-cheese. The sides were ok. Standard fries, nothing special. The greens have a smokey kick that caught me off guard, not the standard salty fare, but very good. The mac had the same smokey flare as the greens, but honestly don't feel it was as successful. We got the peach cobbler for dessert. It's on the sweet side, but the bits of crust in it break up the sweetness, overall very good... get your own, don't expect to share. I'll definitely be back....probably for a called in...

These wings are hella delicious. Don't even BOTHER going to Pizza Hut for their bullshit wings at the price of 8 bucks for 6 wings. Get real! For 20 bucks I get my monies worth. I will never EVER go anywhere else for wings. These people are the best, and I'm always happy to see them. I have been frequenting more as of late,but if I keep this up I'm going to wind up obese. So I'll chillax on it, but if you're reading this, don't bothering chilling at all! Give them a try. I always recommend them to my friends and they love them too. GREAT for parties!

If you like spicy, but not too spicy, I recommend the mild. The Hawaiian flavor taste like honey barbecue sauce, but a little sweeter. It's a nice surprise. And their ranch dipping sauce is to die for. They give me so much that I use that dipping sauce for the rest of the week just for dipping something as simple as plain old sprouts!

Those who had a bad experience, I apologize but I can't relate. You must have caught them in a moment. I'll vouch and say these people got it going on.

Edit: Had the suicide wings like, two months ago. Caution, there name speaks clearly. I don't like spicy things, I ate one and couldn't breathe. Only for the, well, spicy experienced. My boyfriend eats a lot of spicy things and he was sweating and his face was red. Beware! Only a challenge for the right challenger! Still...
