Mundial Coffee — Restaurant in Riverside

Great little place but personally I had a terrible experience here. Would never come back though I think other coffee enjoyers will probably like it as long as they fix their service.

I visited 3 times. On the third time, I was in line behind a group of like 8 (family out for breakfast). They all order food. I order 2 coffees and 1 breakfast sandwich to go after the family.

I get my coffee pretty soon but my food takes 45 min to come out. Which is annoying but I understand. BUT because they gave me my TO-GO coffee first, the ice coffee was diluted with melted ice after the wait.

After the family got served (around 30 min after ordering), I waited for 10 minutes and they still hadn't called me so I go up to the counter to ask about my food. The 2 girls there roll their eyes and say it'll be ready soon. After a few minutes, I'm standing right there (only one waiting) and instead of looking at me and saying, here's your order, sorry for the wait, they just yell out "for NAME, YOUR ORDER IS READY". and then the 2 girls snicker and just proceed to talk to each other.

I was visibly annoyed but not mean or rude to them so I was confused why they were giving me such terrible customer service.

Other 2 times, staff was friendly. This one...

I have been to this place for about 4 times, and today is my last time there. It's 10 minutes from my work so I stop there to get coffee. Yesterday I ordered cortado with agave syrup to go and when I went to work and tried it , it had no agave syrup in it . I didn't think much about it because mistakes like this can happen. This morning I went there before work and I go an avocado toast and a turkish coffee. I finished eating first while my coffee cooled down then I went to the restroom to wash my hands and I took my bag with me leaving my coffee on the table until I return. After 2 minutes, I returned to my table and I couldn't find my coffee. I asked the 2 baristas there but they didn't know who threw away my drink. I asked for another one which took them more than 20 minutes and eventually I had to leave without taking it because I was 10 minutes late for work. I don't take food or beverages with me in the restroom because it's not sanitary of course, and I haven't had this issue before anywhere else. Anyway, this was frustrating enough for me not to consider going back there again. Update: thank you Jason for replying. I understand that you always want to keep the place clean. Lovely coffee shop and also a great place to pick up some plants! My plant knowledge is quite low but I did see several succulents about and the decor makes it lovely to just sit and relax with the plants. I took several pictures of the menu as I hope I got all the drinks on the menu. They do change their drinks with the seasons and get their coffee locally from a roaster across the street according to the barrister. They unfortunately don't have decaf coffee as of this review time, but do carry other options like decaf teas and other drinks for those who cannot drink decaf. I got the lemonade as I was curious of their other drinks of non caffeinated variety and it was delicious. The avocado toast was a great snack to go with it as well. The only complaint would be how the straw can get pinched by the plastic top. That is more a design of the plastic top flaw and can be remedied by tugging or pushing the small triangle inserts to expand the area for the straw to enter.
