Pho Anh Hot Pot and Crawfish — Restaurant in Riverside

Went for dinner for my birthday with my partner and waited over 30 minutes to be sat when it was a mostly empty house and another customer walked in and was instantly sat as soon as they walked in the door ahead of us, when we were eventually sat the man taking our order forgot what it was twice while he was STILL at the table and we had to remind him of what our food was, our entrees came out another 30 minutes later but we never got our drinks or appetizers until an hour and a half passed with us reminding the staff 4 extra times that we were waiting on more stuff where we had to walk up to the counter because a server didn’t come to check on us ONCE, the waiter adamantly told us that we weren’t going to be charged for our phos because another table payed for them for us but when we went to cash out our order at the counter because again they didn’t come to the table with the check we had to go ask for it ourselves, the man that took our order tried charging us for the phos but the waiter intervened and said no another table payed for their stuff and he said no they didn’t I remember they only payed for their stuff, quite convenient that he remembers that but not our order with two drinks an appetizer and two entrees that we had to ask for 6 times to get all of our order, so if you feel like being swindled out of your money this is a great place to go. we got there at 6:17 and didn’t end up getting the check until basically closing and most of the tables were left dirty for over an hour while staff was just standing around doing nothing so nothing promising in terms of atmosphere and messed up multiple to-go orders that I saw customers were waiting for over and hour to get with a...

Food was pretty good. Portions are small which I like but most customers don't. It all needed a bit of soy sauce to bring the flavors out. Without it was pretty bland. The seating was fast. Getting water on the other hand took forever. Good menu, and good variety. Just like others in their reviews pointed out, flat noodles are stuck together. Also, the noodles in number 1 Pho were undercooked....for some reason too hard. So noodles are not their thing. The sandwich was really good. Fresh crispy bun...could have used a little more meat but other than that it was delicious. Service lacks attention, spontaneousness, and friendliness....but that's kinda usual in Vietnamese restaurants. I guess it's just their personality. Been coming for a few years now without any complaints and I’ve always had a good experience however a familiar bald man that I think is one of the managers was constantly shaming and belittling a new worker. He was talking to many customers but how the worker kept making mistakes. From what I seen this new worker was handling all the tables, checking out customers, checking in customers, overall doing the best that he could without any complaints.
