Zorba's Express — Restaurant in Riverside

I’ve been coming to this place every once in a while since I’ve been living in Riverside. recently, though, I’ve been noticing that this place has not been the same like it normally was. Last time before this incident, I have ordered food for my whole family and was missing some items from the bag. I did get pretty upset since it was quite a bit of money that I have lost since I didn’t get my items but I wasn’t gonna be dramatic and go back to complain or anything like that. But this I had to share. Today, November 16, I went through drive-through and ordered what are usually get a cheeseburger combo with a side of ranch. Eager to get home I set up my food like normal. I take my items out of the bag, I open the ranch container and saw the most crustiest ranch I’ve ever seen in my life with a smell that would make you gag. I close that ranch back up and I inspect it from the sides and to my surprise the ranch was no longer good. Obviously it was curdled and separating with a lot of condensation inside the container. My stomach turned at the site and smell of this and I got pretty upset. I threw away all my food did not finish eating and I didn’t even start. This just makes me very disappointed because i like coming here and it’s disappointing because I told all my friends about this place, but it’s going to be one of those places avoid for a while. I’m very upset at this since they charge way to much for just one ranch. Anyways, I hope they clean out the fridge that they keep the ranch in and inspect every ranch container before putting it in a bag for the customer. Let's start with unnecessary details in regards to the food, but extremely necessary to better explain the severity and seriousness of rating these 4 stars, I've been battling with a handful of health issues, most of which impede me from indulging in my favorite, the pastrami (avocado)cheeseburger, apparently after awaking from gall bladder removal surgery after a horrible case of pancreatitis, all I could talk about was taking this "apparently super attractive nurse" to have a pastrami burger mind you I emphasized, no lettuce everything else I go days with only being able to eat if I have something to coat my stomach lining (which is typically soft serve cone from McDonalds, or rice pudding, yes arroz con leche) mind you I have been awaiting this moment for the last year and a half and tonight zorbas knocked it out thebpark for me, not only was everything cooked to perfection, but it was married all together with their secret sauce and just the perfect amount of cheese, onions pickles tomatoes bacon , I say all that to say this, don't be intimidated by the hookers that tend to linger up and down on university blvd, and use the thunderbird lodge to serve their nightly John's, dont tip the homeless guy that sleeps in the far corner of the parking lot, because it isn't the exact amount he needs for his nightly 40 ounce of old English he might rant about why he gave you up for adoption, also, ɓring lots of disinfecting whipes for the baby's high chair, eat your fries warm, make sure to add ketchup to your ranch...

I am utterly disappointed with the poor customer service I received from Zorba’s considering we have been loyal customers for 5+ years. On April 12th, I went through their drive-thru, excited to enjoy a meal at home. However, upon reaching home, I discovered that our bacon cheeseburger was missing bacon, and the zucchinis I ordered were mushy and falling apart.

Attempting to address the issue, I called the restaurant, only to be greeted with incompetence. Initially, I was told there was no manager available, and I was passed on to the girl who took my order. She seemed clueless and put me on hold to consult the cooks about the food. After what felt like an eternity, she returned to take my name and promised to rectify the mistake by offering a replacement burger and zucchinis.

Despite this assurance, when my husband went to collect the replacement today, he was met with further disappointment. He was informed that he needed to bring back the old food or order a burger with the promise of bacon added at no cost. However, they outright refused to address the issue with the zucchinis.

Not only was this experience a waste of time and money, considering our order totaled over $30, but it also showcased the utter disregard for customer satisfaction. This isn't the first time our orders have been botched by this establishment, but this time, they truly outdid themselves. Needless to say, we will never be returning customers.
