(DO NOT trust their reply on this review! I expected NO response from them, and that was indeed what happened!) I strongly recommend staying away from this clinic. While things may seem fine if your visit goes smoothly, any complications are met with indifference. In my case, the experience was deeply troubling.
During the appointment, the doctor unexpectedly and unprofessionally called me a “very selfish person” for literally no reasons. Even more concerning, the doctor altered my medical record—seemingly in an attempt to cover up a mistake made by UCR Student Health, with which this clinic is affiliated. The doctor also attempted to prescribe a medication that would have worsened my condition.
After the visit, I submitted a formal complaint requesting a refund. Every time I followed up, the front desk staff were dismissive and simply told me to wait. It has now been over a year, and I have received no response whatsoever.
This case reflects a serious ethical breach, as it appears one doctor was actively covering for another. Worse still, the administrative department seems to play no supervisory role at all, raising serious concerns about the integrity of both the providers and the leadership. I would be extremely wary of entrusting my health to people operating in such an...
Read moreReally disappointed with UCR Health, specially since my family members have mentioned different experiences.
I'll start with the positive: the resident doctor I saw. She was courteous and I could see she genuinely was listening to me.
Unfortunately, that's about as good of an experience as I had. The attending physician, Dr. Yamaguchi, rudely interrupted my resident within the first 30 seconds of the meeting. The resident I was talking to was starting to give me the rundown of the way the appointment would work when she came in, said her piece, and left. It was jarring and it showed that, even though she was present from the beginning and for a good portion of the appointment, she wasn't really paying attention or possibly interest.
At the end of the appointment, I was told I would get a call to schedule the next appointment. I didn't hear from UCR, until later in the evening when I received a confirmation to an appointment date and time that did not work for me.
I wish Dr. Fletcher the best because I thought she was fantastic, but the rest of the UCR Health team left a bad taste...
Read moreI’ve had my fair share of psychiatrists and I can say that I’ve never had one that compares to Dr Jami Woods. Unlike other doctors I’ve had, she actually takes the time to ask about me as a person rather than just a patient and delivers care with such enthusiasm. She always takes the time to educate in a way that is easy to understand. Dr Woods always makes sure to hear me out and asks about any symptoms or side effects that I may be feeling and offers advice on how to combat and alleviate them. She has always made me feel comfortable and every appointment with her is sure to be a good time. Very competent, highly educated and passionate about her work. Dr Woods is an asset to the community and I have already recommended her to all my friends and family and will continue to do so with the highest regard. We need more doctors like Jami...
