I rate this place a 3/5 because some members of my party were ok with their food, but if I had to rate it for myself it would be a 2/5. The overall experience here was subpar. When first entering, the host wasn't that welcoming. Nothing was barely said and my party was simply led to a table. The server was ok. I didn't like that they were sitting at the table next to my party and on their phone. It just looks unprofessional. Otherwise, they were fine.
Now the real problem was with the food, specifically my food. Specifically, the portion was ridiculous, I believe the food was microwaved, and the seasoning was lacking. What I ordered was the Chicken Alfredo. You read what I ordered? Chicken Alfredo the type of dish your order at a place you haven't been to yet because it's nearly impossible to mess this up. Well, it was messed up. Anyways, let me explain.
First, the portion size was out of control. There was a lot of pasta and barely any chicken, broccoli, or Alfredo sauce.
Now let me tell you why I believe the food was microwaved. You know when you order or cook Alfredo and the 2ND day after refrigerating it the Alfredo sauce can look clumpy even after heating it up? That is exactly what it looked like. When you make a fresh plate of Chicken Alfredo that sauce is supposed to be somewhat smooth and runny not clumped up on the pasta. You know when you heat up food at home and you have on of those plates where the food itself is cold and the plate is piping hot? That's how it was served. The Chicken Alfredo was warm, but the plate itself was very hot.
Lastly, the season was lacking. It tasted like if you make alfredo sauce and didnt add any salt, pepper, or any other seasoning. Just tasted like cheese. The only reason I am writing this review because this dish is $17 which is ridiculous. I mean this is Applebee's I understand that, but at the same time come on? It's chicken alfredo. Worst I ever...
Read moreFirst, I want to say that we haven’t ordered from Applebees in years because of order mixups in the past but decided to give them another shot so we ordered takeout(car side). Received a text message to click on the link when on our way- did that-received error message about order not being found-no big deal. Get to the restaurant, park in carside to go like instructed in the e-mail; no one shows up after a few minutes so husband goes inside, waits a few minutes and gets the order, the guy at the counter was super helpful according to my husband, everything we ordered was there. Get home a few minutes later, and I wish I’d taken pictures. First, I ordered a medium well steak, it was so well done that it was dry, the broccoli was cold. My husband ordered the bourbon chicken and shrimp and while the chicken was good, the shrimp was not; nothing at all as described, he also ordered the garlicky green beans- they were not garlicky, and were so over cooked that they were almost mush and super dark. My son said his burger was ok. We also ordered the appetizer sampler-the boneless wings (the three of them) were ok. The quesadillas and the mozzarella sticks were the best tasting items from all that we ordered and that’s a shame. We didn’t eat the green beans or the steak. And while my husband made a semi valid comment that takeout food is never the same as indoor dining, there really shouldn’t be a difference because in both instances we’re paying for the food. Maybe it was an off day or too busy at 430pm on a Saturday but we won’t be going back. Personally, I prefer to go to locally owned, non franchised businesses. And yes, we did call the restaurant but it rang and rang which was probably a good thing because we’ve been down that road with them before and got nowhere when this same...
Read moreI just have to say that Mr. Will William if that’s he’s real name ,as a supervisor he needs to take more Customer Service training. I place a delivery order at 6:28pm with a delivery time of 7:16pm and no food or text telling me what happen with my order. By 7:30pm I decided to call and the website directed me to postmaster telling me my order was going to be deliver at 7:52pm. Guess what? 8pm still no food no text. When I called the restaurant I asked for a manager and they say he was not there. I told the lady don’t lie because you going to make me go there. Which I did. Mr. Will Williams attitude was like he didn’t understood what I was saying maybe because my English? He didn’t apologized and he was acting like I want it the food for free. He didn’t found my order even when I was showing him the order. I told him I was upset. He told me he was overwhelmed due that it was busy in the restaurant. I asked him can I place the order and can you rush it? I told him I can go inside and place it. And he say with an attitude that he was trying to help me can he see my phone. So I say never mind. I have been in that Applebee’s plenty of time and I have never ever encounter one of the employees there with an attitude. Mr. Will Williams needs to be more sympathetic with Customers. He don’t want it to admit that they did wrong by not telling the customer that it was no one available to deliver the food. Instead the cancelled the order when I called. I told him I have never place a delivery order before but I was working and my wife was home sick and I though this way was better for her just to eat on time and I don’t have to worry. How do you feel if this happen to you? Mr....
