Armetta's Gelato & Caffè — Restaurant in Riverview

My daughter was hired by Franco to work at Armettas in August. She is 15 and it was her first job. He treated her terribly throughout her time working at his cafe. She worked there for nearly 5 months and from day one he was extremely rude and demeaning to her. She was never late for work, she called in sick ONE time and was extremely reliable. Yet if she even tried to ask for a certain day off or for any flexibility with her schedule whatsoever, he would respond angrily and rude saying “it is always something with you”. He is demeaning and rude to his employees and acts this way in front of customers. Read the Google reviews. Yesterday was the last straw. She became very sweaty and dizzy one hour into her shift and had to go outside before nearly passing out. She was scared after the incident so she called Franco immediately letting him know she was ill and needed to leave. He responded by telling how inconvenient that was, came into the cafe 15 minutes later, didn’t ask her if she was okay and then told her leave and not come back. Total disregard for the well-being of his employees. His treatment of my daughter was shameful. I don’t care if you’re 15, 25 or 55- no one deserves to be treated in this way. I will not be spending another dollar in his overpriced cafe ever again (and I probably spent upwards of $1000 in there in 2023). Shame on you...

Ice cream is great. This is my 2nd review of this place. Unfortunately this one is not as good. My family and friends have been coming here after dance class just down the street, same plaza, for 4 years now. We always bring our dogs with us. Everyone knows who they are and the kids and adults love them. We always go get ice cream, drinks, pizzas you name it at this place and spend quite a lot lol. Today was different. 1st day of dance class and we go get some ice cream accept they told us we can not bring the dogs anymore because of one guy that wrote a review and obviously hates dogs. This place was pet friendly and one guy writes a review and we all got to pay the price. Unfortunately we all will have to stop coming here and find a new pet friendly place. Because of one dog hater. It's sad but I guess...

It was my first time in this coffee shop, i had no idea it was here since dunkin and starbucks are in the same plaza. but im glad i searched for a new one! walking up, the first impression was good because there is cute seating and plants out front. In the coffee shop is the same seating as outside and has a homey feeling. Plus, there’s no music so it would make for a great quiet work environment or headphones in and get stuff done spot. I came in this morning before work and was already crunched on time but i ordered at the counter, there was no wait, and my drink was out before i could get comfy in my seat! I ordered an iced chai latte with oat milk and PUMPKIN SAUCE. They are still serving pumpkin drinks!!! Also it was cheaper than starbucks. This is my new favorite coffee shop...
