Bratcher's Ice Cream Parlor — Restaurant in Roanoke

Normally a great experience, however me and several other people went in there on a Friday night and again tonight and the customer service was horrible. Friday night we showed up at 8:40, website says they close at 9:30, we walked in, we’re whispered about and look at nasty and were told they close at 9. We got our ice cream and we left and ate in the car which is fine we didn’t plan on staying in there anyways. Saturday night we went in there and as soon as we walked in the same rude girl (big, brown hair girl with an undercut) whispers to her coworker and I made eye contact as she said “these are the people who came in last night 10 minutes before we closed.” Sooo incredibly rude - we were nice and respectful but it’s sad that girl is so unhappy with her life that when people walk in she is nasty to them and apparently closes the shop early when the boss is...

So disappointed… It’s a tradition for my kids and I to come here for ice cream during our 2 weeks stay for Christmas every year. I was originally referred here by a friend whom lives in Roanoke. The few times I’ve come here I loved it due to verity of choices/flavors of ice creams and a good amount of it. I usually leave this place FULL. I myself have started to refer others to this place. However, my visit today (1/2/24 @ 3:50PM) with my kids was disappointing. The girl barely gave us any ice cream 2 scoops in a single cup did not even fill the cup half way. My kids and I left this place still craving ice cream and had to go get ice elsewhere afterwards. Because of this experience I don’t think we’ll be returning. As I felt I got a kids 1scoop cup in the single 2 scoop cups...

I literally just left from here, and I am not pleased at all by the girls who are working today. 1 of them had a attitude since me and my family walked in the door, we were not disrespectful at all we simply told them what we wanted. She proceeded to slam her hand down on the top of the ice cream with an attitude I asked her what did she have an attitude for the other girl speaks up and starts to become disrespectful out her mouth I said what I had to say she told me to leave I paid for the 3 ice cream cones she made for my little ones because I will pay for what I got but her mouth was terrible!! You really need to control her and her mouth. IMO it was definitely a race thing and I will not...
