Restaurant is pretty small and parking is very limited in front. You likely need to park across the street and walk over as there are only a handful of spots in front shared by Pueblo Chico and the Honey Baked Ham next door. Walked into the restaurant and no one was at the front or at the bar to greet and seat us so after waiting for five minutes we just walked over to an empty table to sit down. After getting situated and going to the restroom eventually Esther came to take our order probably about 15-20 minutes after we first walked inside. Food came out quickly and was fresh but everything had just a little too much salt, especially dishes with grilled chicken. Portions were large and very generous for a reasonable price. Food was mostly fine, but nothing blew our socks off taste ways. The fried ice cream had a strange aftertaste with the waffle bowl used. We could not tell if it was an expired waffle bowl or maybe it was produced with some type of corn bread product, but the waffle bowl did not taste like anything we had tasted before with fried ice cream. Overall the food seemed solid enough for a Mexican restaurant, was very reasonably priced, and had huge portions so it is a fine stop if in the area. The art on the tables and walls is excellent with one painting on the wall of a warrior holding a fainted lady being particularly exceptionally Epic so bonus points...
Read moreFantastic! I’ve done a few orders to pick up and every time, everything has been correct. That’s something that stands out to me & is much appreciated! I don’t have to sit there and check my order before I leave, I know everything will be correct & nothing will be left out. Also, the staff is very friendly so that’s another plus. Most importantly - the food is incredible. I LOVE the tamales (the pineapple was a surprise, I didn’t think I would like it but it’s delicious!). I saw a photo of the Camorones Cancun on FB reviews and my mom decided she wanted that - she ate every bit! The flautas were also perfect. I haven’t gotten anything from here that I don’t like. Very excited to have this place right up the street, we used to go to Los Amigos all the time when it was next to the Shell on Brambleton (I hate going to Towers so I rarely go to the other location). Overall, I’m very impressed with Pueblo Chico & highly...
Read moreHappened upon this place by chance, it's a small location so can be missed from the road. I feel bad for whoever doesn't find this place because they're missing out! We were served chips and salsa and mystery white sauce (I thought it was sour cream? It seemed sweet) I ordered a house margaritas and chimichanga while my husband ordered a huge frozen marg and a quesadilla. It felt like we just ordered when minutes later our food came out. Super speedy service and our waitress was so nice. You can see the portion sizes are massive, the quality was so fresh and for a good price. I may be a lightweight but my one marg had me feeling great, but I swear the frozen ones are made with less alcohol because my husband seemed fine after his. Definitely the place to go to satisfy your Mexican and margs to relax...
