We hosted a baby shower recently here for approximately 40 people. We chose Villa Barone based on recommendations from others, personal experience from other parties attended there and a good feeling after meeting with the manager. Unfortunately, we did not have the experience we were promised and paid for. We were not given the space we were promised and we were crammed into a very tight space. There were not enough chairs set up but they had no problems charging for 3 extra meals and charging $15 for children's meals which are clearly listed for $7 on the menu. The manager claimed some people ordered off the set menu and also ordered take out. At no time were we, the persons hosting, asked if this was okay. We confirmed 38 adults and 5 children the day before and were told 43 chairs would be set up. There were only 40 chairs set up yet we paid for 42 adult's and 4 children's meals. The temperature in the restaurant was very hot and the air was not turned on until hours later. The mother-to-be arrived 30 minutes late and we did ask to wait for her arrival before the food was served. The party started at 12:30, the mom-to-be arrived at 1 but the main course was not served until 3 PM. Instead of the promised "family style" we were told there wasn't enough room on the tables and individual entrees were brought out. The pasta dishes were also served at the same time. There were two other large parties at the same time and we did not feel we were given the individual attention we were entitled to. I did not feel we got what we paid for ($1344) and we were embarrassed for our guest by the hot cramped accomodations, the lateness of the services and the non family style meal. I will say the food was very good and the server, although busy with other parties, was very professional and accomadating. After meeting with the manager days after the shower I felt the manager was not hibest with me and blamed us for the problems. At no time did he apologized for our bad experience. I unfortunately did not find what he told me to be honest and I felt taken...

Our waiter came and he didn’t look at our faces, he was just looking around, but we said thank you anyway and also apologized, because we felt like we were causing him trouble.. then the waiter brought our food, and also brought the food of another table out who arrived 10 minutes after us , I wasn’t angry about this, but he never asked how our food was.. a waiter should always check if there is a problem with the meal after giving us the food. After dinner we wanted to eat desserts, but we didn’t want to be in that environment anymore, and we just waited for the waiter to come when another boy came to us, filled our water and when we asked for a box, he didn’t answer, walked away, and stood next to where the boxes were, looking around. My boyfriend got up from the table and asked again, and a different man was the one who gave the boxes.. Our waiter didn’t check on us for the rest of the night , then we asked him for the check while he was taking care of another table, and then he finally said his first thank you before we left. we didn’t give a good tip because the atmosphere was awkward and we felt uncomfortable...

We are blessed to have so many great Italian restaurants in our area but we knew he would love the great food and casual atmosphere of Villa Barone and he did. To start things off we ordered their House Toscana appetizer to share along with their Fried Calamari and Clams Casino. Both were delicious with more than enough of each to share for 3-4 people. I especially recommend the House Toscano which consists of grilled Italian veggies and thick shaved Romano Cheese but keep in mind it's meant to share unless you are a hearty eater. For entrees we ordered Vodka Rigitoni, Pollo Fantasia and Shrimp and Scallops. All were cooked to perfection. The pasta was al dente the seafood and chicken cooked thoroughly but still moist and succulent and the sauces not too heavy or cloying, enhancing rather than smothering the taste of the entree. I was the only one who left room for dessert so ordered espresso and tiramisu which was creamy and rich, the perfect end to a great dining experience. The service was excellent and we never felt rushed or that we had overstayed our welcome despite being the last diners of the night. It's a BYOB so remember to being your favorite wine or other alcoholic beverage. They also serve luncheon, soups, entrees, panini, calzones, strombolis. sandwiches, wraps and delicious gourmet pizzas for those looking for lighter fare. The prices are moderate for the quality and serving size you receive. As an example, our check for three with appetizers and entrees and one dessert came in under $130 and we all took food home. I cannot recommend Villa Barone highly enough but be forewarned reservations for Thursday - Saturday night are highly...
