The service was beyond outstanding. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and incredibly welcoming. The Food – Absolutely Phenomenal!
Now, let’s talk about the star of the evening – the food. Every single dish we ordered was bursting with flavor, freshness, and quality ingredients. Here’s a breakdown of what we had:
Chicken Shawarma Wrap – This was hands-down one of the best shawarmas we've ever had. The chicken was perfectly seasoned, tender, and juicy, wrapped in a soft, fresh pita with just the right amount of garlic sauce, pickles, and veggies to create a harmonious explosion of flavors in every bite.
Beef & Lamb Gyro – The meat was cooked to absolute perfection, with a deliciously smoky char on the outside while remaining tender and juicy inside. The tzatziki sauce complemented it beautifully, adding a creamy, tangy contrast to the well-seasoned gyro meat.
Falafel Plate – The falafel was crispy on the outside and perfectly fluffy inside, with a rich, herby taste that paired so well with the smooth, flavorful hummus and fresh pita.
Hummus & Pita – This hummus was next-level! Creamy, smooth, and rich with a hint of garlic and olive oil, it was impossible to stop dipping the warm, soft pita into it.
Greek Fries – These fries were a total game-changer. Perfectly crispy and generously topped with feta cheese, Mediterranean spices, and a drizzle of garlic sauce – absolutely addictive.
Baklava for Dessert – Ending the meal on a sweet note, the baklava was flaky, buttery, and perfectly sweetened with a hint of honey and nuts.
Final Verdict – A Must-Visit!
Everything about our experience at Mediterranean Street Food was exceptional. The food was fresh, flavorful, and authentic, the service was top-notch, and the overall atmosphere made for a truly enjoyable night out. Whether you’re a Mediterranean food enthusiast or trying it for the first time, this place will exceed your expectations.

Bottom line: Everything is fantastic!!!
The rest of the story: My wife and I first visited this restaurant the week it opened. I remember standing puzzled at the menu board. Chef unknowing to us, noticed and unexpectedly came out to say hi & explain what we were seeing. There were some bumps that first week -namely, food from a jar which was subsequently changed to a mini-bowl, but we've loved watching the business evolve to what it is now; a popular, thriving, efficient restaurant! This is not the first time I've felt this way about a new business. I remember saying Baja Fresh would be huge, and Jamba Juice, and Urban Outfitters... There's no doubt in my mind 2941 Street Food will become a hugely successful franchise and I'll love telling everyone I predicted it and watched it happen!
Aside from all that... The mini-bowls are $7.50, which are my favorite. Similar item at Chipotle might be $.50 less... but you can get the same thing at 1,000 different places, maybe 10,000. The wheat instead of rice is nice. The tandoori chicken with tandoori sauce is beyond delicious with a bravely perfect amount of heat for me. Add pickled mushrooms and black bean hummus and you can stuff yourself or have plenty leftover. Service is always friendly and I'm always in and out (when taking out) MUCH faster than I could drive through McDonald's.
I have to say, this is the best, most brilliant twist on Mediterranean food I've ever had. I love shwarma & tabouli but come on, it's the same everywhere. I can't properly describe the food but it's absolutely delicious and ridiculously unique as far as I know. It's my favorite restaurant in Rochester / Rochester Hills area and there are plenty of high end places to choose from.
Finally. I work in the training industry and know when processes are clear, people are well-trained, and treated well. I also know when they aren't. Kudos on whatever is being done here!! (Not sure what I mean by this? Stop in Mod...

I had a question between the honest bowl in the mini bowl and he was very nice and helpful. I went with the honest bowl which came with bread. Now at the time I thought this was going to be just a small piece of bread with the meal. I’ll get to that later. I went with the rice and I also went with the chicken. You got to add two sides and sauce so I went with of course the garlic and what look like pickles and red onions. They also added Fattoush and hummus. When I got to the register the total cost of the meal was almost $15. Typically I don’t spend more than 10 at lunch and I was kind of like OK I guess maybe just this one time. I get this out to the car and they didn’t put forks and knives or napkins in the bag because that is a self-serve before you leave the restaurant. Had to go back in to grab some but not a big deal. So I opened up the container and I opened up the bag with the bread and I could not believe how big that bread is. I mean look at it! It’s like a loaf of bread. It’s very good. All of the food tasted really good and I really like the red onions it had a little spice to it if they were red onions. It seemed like it was pickled and along with the actual pickles if they were pickles. Overall tasted really really good and if you were in the area and you have a taste for Mediterranean definitely stop by because this was really good. Solid solid high 4’s. Well done! I...
