This was my location before the ownership change. It's nice to see the space change just by adding a few touches (adding booths, new tables, a divider for the restroom, adding the Asian waving lucky cat, etc.). It was a good nostalgic moment. I had a good conversation with the staff and owner in which they were all friendly and welcoming. The sushi chef has been in the industry for 10+ years. We ordered the King's combo with a few additional rolls. The sashimi was sliced nicely and thick. The food was amazing and fresh as to be expected. The attention to detail in presentation was appreciated as well. The owner also mentioned they will be introducing Ramen to the menu sometime next month or so just in time for the cold months ahead. Read moreWe had been meaning to stop into Sushi King for ages. It’s on our way to do our grocery shopping, so we see it weekly. But we would forget! We also had seaweed salad, gyoza, and edamame, so we had a lovely meal. We should have taken pics, but we were ravenous and it all was too enticing to...
Read moreUnassuming little sushi shop that is absolutely deserving of its high rating. The Tengo roll had an incredibly pleasant, even set of flavors, and the texture using soy paper instead of seaweed made it completely melt in my mouth. The spicy sauce was not over the top whatsoever, and perfectly complemented the fresh fish, warm rice, and crunchy jalapeños. The tuna roll was equally as satisfying, there is nowhere to hide anything but the freshest flavor with such a basic roll and this one did not disappoint. The gyoza were deep fried, not pan-fried, so flaky/chewy crisp. The tea was delightfully aromatic and nicely presented in their single-serve Japanese teapot. Great spot;...
