Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Rochester Hills

So the smoothies are pretty good, we'll start off there and I think that's the basic reason to come here, so they have that down. Also from the few food items we've ordered, taste and quality are fairly decent for a quick bite as long as you don't have super high expectations. I'd put in in the categorie of an afterthought, "as long as I'm here getting a smoothie ill guess I'll grab some food too". The staff is usually friendly and the prep time is what you'd expect, a few minutes wait but not terribly long. As I mentioned at the beginning the smoothies are the main focus and you've got a pretty wide selection- veggie, fruit blends, tropical, kids size and variety plus you can add supplements if you like, protein, vitamins ect. I also forgot to mention the fruit bowls which are pretty good as well, in retrospect I should have mentioned those further up. As far as atmosphere, well there's tables. Prices, 2 drinks and 2 sandwiches $30, seems a tad high. Nice for a once in...

Horrible Service! Had a gift card so I decided to try Tropical Smoothie Cafe! I regret trying this one! The service was terrible. The employees were completely clueless, they were in the back tasting drinks trying to see what was what, they were completely clueless. Most disorganized mess I have ever seen. I was beginning to think my wrap was going to be ice cold by the time I was going to get my smoothie. Food and Smoothies weren't nearly what my friends hyped them up to be. I should have read the reviews first and saved my gift card for a different tropical smoothie. I may give Tropical Smoothie Cafe another chance but it will CERTAINLY NOT BE THIS LOCATION! Not to mention the lady ahead of me finally went up the counter and demanded a refund after calling in 20 minutes prior to coming in only to wait 10 minutes inside and still nothing! Horrible first impression of Tropical Smoothie Cafe, the company should do something about this...

Do not go to this location, there is one up the street on Walton.This is by far the worst location i have ever been to.The manager is very rude and they like to treat customers terrible. I only have issues when he is working.I ordered online and the manager purposely did not make my order bc he saw my name before i even arrived ..he looked at me and said i didnt make it. I ordered online and I arrived at the time the order confirmation said in my email. I dont wear a mask due to health reasons,enough said.I walk in to grab my order and walk right out. He decided to make a scene.I asked for the owners phone number and he said no.If you are the owner of this location i would find a new manager that knows how to communicate without being rude and yelling at a paying customer that orders a $10 peanut paradise daily, sometimes 2x a day.
