Finally! A restaurant that hits all the buttons for me, in Rochester!!
From the moment you park (free, close to the door) and walk into the natural, bright, beautifully aromatic resturant you know you are in for a fabulous and healthy food experience!
I have eaten at Crisp & Green 12 different times so far, since they first opened! (Eating with friends, family, business connects, and alone!) Not only is their atmosphere cheery and inviting but their staff and manager, Zoe, are as well! You feel welcomed and ready to be served! As with any new restaurant, there is a learning curve with the new staff as they learn the rhythm but I see Zoe often, answering staff and customer questions, with a smile and helpful attitude! I get great eye contact and warmth from the crew as they make my bowls/salad. Super refreshing!
The salads and bowls I have eaten have always had predictably fresh ingredients, with amazing flavors. I am a "Greek Out!" junkie now but have also had 8 other salads or grain bowls and each one is filled with fabulous taste bud joy! Every time I order, I get the same fresh and yummy ingredients, no matter the time of day! I also love that if I am not "feeling" a certain topping that day, I have the option of leaving it off and adding another. It really is like having your own salad creator without all the cost of time and money of getting to the store, buying all your ingredients, and then cooking up, seasoning, and prepping it all! The prices are reasonable for such a feat! They even add on some free and generous amts of chips/bread/crunchies, as a bonus!
Their drinks are fabulous too!! Healthy alternatives to sodas! Filled with tea and real juice "yummy goodness" without all the sugar!
I love love this place and wish I had a Crisp & Green in my own backyard! I could seriously eat their food EVERY DAY!
OH, I forgot to mention that even the bathroom experience is a great one with their clean and well lit rooms, incredibly good-for-you and great smelling hand soap, AND lotion! Who...
Read moreSo excited to have a Crisp & Green in Rochester, where the upscale casual food scene has been lackluster for years. We’ve eaten here twice now and I’ve ordered the Fiesta Bowl both as dine-in and takeout. I definitely recommend the dine-in for your first experience here. The flavors were much better as I think the takeout version was lacking the correct proportions and the appropriate amount of sauce. I grew up in Rochester and have lived in many larger cities, swore I would never come back here but am now more or less content raising a family here. That said, what I arguably am less content about is the lack of great food and overall restaurant scene, so every time something new comes to town, I am over the moon. I really hope Crisp & Green keeps it together here and doesn’t flop like Chipotle in regard to food quality and employees. If they can keep it together on those terms, they’ll capture an...
Read moreI went for lunch and waited for about 45 minutes through the line and then to get my food. I only ordered an acai bowl and smoothie, and once I finally got in line to order, I was told to order those items at the front register. It still took me another 10 minutes to get to the register in that line. Once I ordered my acai bowl and smoothie, it took 20 minutes to make! The restaurant was very loud, so I wouldn't recommend this place for a quiet and calm place to relax. The workers seemed overwhelmed. The acai bowl was good once I got it, but it wasn't as good as other acai bowls that I've had in town. The smoothie was thinner/runnier than I expected but tasted good. I hope they learn to accommodate the lunch rush because I'm willing to try it again, but not for that...
