First time trying this restaurant tonight and felt compelled to leave a review after our experience.
I want to start by saying the restaurant was clean and the staff were friendly. However, the food was incredibly disappointing to put it lightly. We spent over $30 for two combos with fries and drinks and the quality was completely unacceptable. The fried mustard and kraut ripper dog lacked flavor, I would much rather build my own from any gas station. The kraut however was fresh. The southern chicken sandwich was an oily mess with soggy breading that fell off and a tough grilled texture on the inside. The bread was cooked perfectly but a little on the plain/salty side I think it could use some sweetness. The pickles were fresh and there were plenty which I did like. The BBQ Bacon Tribeca sandwich was another oily mess that was falling apart with too many toppings, slightly oxidized lettuce and very little sauce. The tomatoes were fresh. Last but not least, the crinkle cut fries were disgusting, mushy, oil-soaked sponges that unfortunately ended up in the trash. Being able to season them yourself is a nice touch…but I wish I had been able to season everything else as well because none of the items had as much as a grain of salt or pepper.
Overall we were really disappointed with this visit, and in its current state would not recommend it to anyone else. The only real items I enjoyed eating were pickles, sour kraut, and some tomato slices. I apologize for the harshness but this restaurant needs a real wake up call and I sincerely hope you are able to fix these issues. The prices and ideas are not bad, but the execution...
Read moreHad an awful 1st experience here, but decided to give another chance because they so recently opened. Went back and this time went through the drive thru. Several cars in line and it moved very slowly. After bring greeted then asked to wait... I gave my order and had to repeat myself multiple times because the lady kept getting the order wrong. Pulled to the window, asked again about one item because I suspected she still had it wrong. Was assured, before paying, that it was correct. Paid and got a receipt only to see that she had French fries instead of onion rings. Asked again and was told "they're the same price". Ok, but am I getting onion rings or FF? She took my receipt and went and asked someone. Came back and told me that it's fine and they'd be in the bag. Waited again. Was handed my $30 worth of food (2 combos + 1 hotdog) and guess what? No onion rings. Waited for the lady to notice me again and told her the rings weren't in the bag. She rolled her eyes and went to ask someone again. Came back and told me she'd have to charge me more because I ordered a regular fry and the onion rings were more expensive. Gave up. Took the food home to my family only to find that my hotdog was so over cooked it was rubbery. Was like chewing bubble gum. The chicken sandwich combo was cold in the middle. My son's burger combo he said was bland and the fries were greasy. 2 strikes and done on this place. Disappointing given that it took so...
Read moreI have been here 3 times since they opened. They just opened and there is no reason for the lack luster service or quality of food. On my last visit there was a bubbly man at the food window. My first order was a Philly and fries. The Philly just wasn’t good the flavor was missing and the sauce just wasn’t tasty. The fries were luke warm and soft. There was no line so I expected hot and fresh food so that was a disappointment. I decided let me try again, since they are so close. My second order was the chili/slaw dog with onion rings. The chili just isn’t good and has a weird taste. The onion rings were cold and soggy. I’m like now they now this isn’t right especially for the price of their items. Still I went a third time purely because I wanted to try the tenders. It should be noted that after the 1st two occurrences w my sides weren’t fresh, I requested that my order be made fresh. I am sure this helped my next statement. The tenders were delicious beer battered(only can speak on freshly cooked ones) and the onion rings were fresh but not tasty. Get a fresh order of fries instead. Don’t say I didn't warn you. I’n conclusion, I don’t have a reason to go back when we have a multitude of better tasting and better priced restaurants on the same road. Good luck Nathan’s but you all need to step up the taste quality...
