I ordered the Blackened Chicken Alfredo and an order of cheese tots to be delivered through Doordash.
When I got my meal, my first thought was that the serving of pasta looked a bit small for the price, but that happens. Then I opened the box of tots.
Sweet Cheese, Bacon, and Taters, it was beautiful! The clouds parted, a sunbeam shined upon it (which is weird because the curtain's closed... huh...), and angels sang. In this Styrofoam to-go box was a pile of tater tots smothered in cheese. Now, I don't mean, like, a bunch of cheese on top of the pile. No no. I mean the tots were incorporated into the pile of melted, gooey cheese. I'm used to having that sad little pile of tots, shoved to the side because of their lack of cheese (I'm pretty ruthless like that), but, when all was said and done with this order, there was nothing left but a greasy bit of deli paper lining the box. I would've taken pictures, but this was the first thing I've eaten today since Erie, PA, so I basically went into a blind frenzy as soon as I opened the box.
As I wept tears of joy (or maybe just grease that got forced into my sinuses during the eating rampage), I turned my gaze to the container of pasta. Granted, my taste buds were still in shock from the appetizer, so the first bite seemed confusingly bland, but they quickly rallied and let me know that the Cajun Alfredo sauce was excellent! What I first considered a paltry serving was plenty after the cheese-tot-a-thon I just finished.
To finish out my meal, I fished the garlic knots out and used them to wipe the last bit of Alfredo sauce from the container (can't waste perfectly-good cholesterol). The knots were soft and chewy and covered in butter and it was absolutely the perfect ending to an exceptional meal.
In the spirit of balance, I will say the only negative thing I could possibly think of would be the restaurant's refusal to accept "Special order" comments from Doordash. I tried to ask them to leave the salad out, because really, do I sound like a guy who enjoys a salad? I hate wasting it, but alas. Maybe I can find a bunny to feed it to?
Though I'm only passing through this time, Rock Hill is close enough to my hometown that I may have to visit this establishment next...

Empire WAS my favorite pizza in the world til today. I had made an order around 2:30ish to be picked up at 6pm for our families dinner. It was picked up approximately at 6:03. Now, if this pizza had come out of the oven on the past 30 minutes, it would have at least been WARM. This was the worst looking cardboard looking disc that I've ever seen. I can't even call it a pizza. It was cold, very hard and NASTY and DEFINITELY NOT EDIBLE. And other things that I'd prepaid for, wasn't given to my husband when he picked it up!!
We live approximately a 5 min drive from there. So I started by calling to speak with the management. She was professional, and polite during this horrific incident. I asked her why I hadn't been given a receipt. Her answer was, the receipt wouldn't print off during pick up. So she said it was emailed to me.
As we were leaving I looked in my email and it clearly states for me to head over there cuz my order is ready.....AT 2:56PM!!!! Not at all around the pre-set time that was also a part of my order.
THEY TRIED TO PASS OFF A PIZZA, THAT SOMEONE PROBABLY MISS UNDERSTOOD THE ORDER, ONTO OUR FAMILY TO EAT FOR OUR DINNER. IT NOT ONLY RUINED OUR DINNER BUT DUE TO ME ORDERING ONLINE, I WON'T GET MY MONEY BACK FOR SEVERAL DAYS. SO I HAD TO RUSH HOME AND FEED MY CHILDREN SOMETHING. THEY RUINED OUR DINNER, AND UNFORTUNATELY TOOK THE ONLY FUNDS THAT I HAD SAT ASIDE FOR PIZZA AND WE COULDN'T GO ANYWHERE ELSE TO GET FOOD TO GO.
I HAVE a pic of the receipt that shows clearly someone having our pizza ready around 3pm AND NOT 6pm as requested. And that shows a lot more than the manager just saying it was overcooked. I MEAN, COME ON. I WASN'T BORN YESTERDAY.
This was SUCH HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE, it will be a VERY VERY LONG TIME for us to ever go back there, IF WE EVER DO.

Read moreMy coworker and I stopped in today for a bite before heading back to work. We had to wait a bit upon walking in to be greeted, not going to lie we contemplated leaving and going somewhere else. We waited maybe 5-7 minutes. Then we were seated. That was the only negative part of our experience . We had a wonderful waitress named Tracy. The place was busy and she was the only waitress there. She was very pleasant and attentive. She immediately got our orders. Our drinks and apps came out quickly. The garlic knots were amazing. So fluffy on the inside. Drizzled with butter, Parmesan and parsley I believe. We also ordered fried pickles. I was pleasantly surprised when they were the long flat sandwich pickles fried. They were crispy and delightful. The ranch dipping sauce is great. I ordered the lunch special, slice of the day and garden salad. The portion size was huge! The salad was scrumptious. The shredded cheese made it taste even better. The slice of the day was the Cajun chicken Philly; Cajun chicken with mushrooms, peppered and onions. It was a huge slice and very flavorful. All the food came out so quickly. Our waitress was beyond a rock star. Would never have known she was the only one there. I cannot rave about her enough. She had a smile on her face the whole time and was nothing but pleasant. Was too hungry to take pictures. Next time I will be sure to. Such an affordable place! For a lunch special which includes drink and an app for only $15! That’s unheard off. I will make this my go to lunch spot whenever I’m...
