Huckleberry's Great Pizza and Calzones — Restaurant in Rock Island

was craving pizza tonight from a local place. decided on huckleberrys in rock island as carry out, and had probably the best customer service i have ever had in my entire life. between the hostess, the cashier taking our order, and the owner, it made for such a pleasant experience. not to mention the food was great!!! i hadn’t been to huckleberry’s for at least 10 years, it was my favorite restaurant as a kid, and now as an adult, i can say it’s easily my favorite pizza place as an adult!!! nice classy feel to it without straying too far from being a nicer pizza/calzone place.

also, we dug into the food too fast, so i did not get a picture. a 10 inch pizza and a caprese salad was the perfect portions for my husband and i.

will definitely be returning very soon!! 10/10 service and food, plus it brought back fond memories of...

The food is fantastic! Bring your appetite, as they don’t skimp on the portions. My experience started with the chicken parmigiana, and I was in love. It’s my absolute go to when I’m in town. I’ve had the Italian calzone, and what can I say that I haven’t already. The Italian sausage was delicious and the ricotta was moist and sweet. The handmade red gravy was very good. I’ve had the Greek salad as well. Also very good. Did I mention the portions? The pricing is very reasonable for what you get. What do you get, you might ask? You’re going to get a fantastic meal experience. With great food mixed with great service and an inviting venue, what more could you possibly want? Thank you...

Last night our kids brought us Huck’s to go. We didn’t get a chance to eat most of it because of circumstances but we did open the huge piece of fresh cinnamon cake. I’m a life long cake/pie guy (god bless my grandmas ❤️). This piece of cake was/ is amazing ! I don’t know anything about it (yet) 😄. Was it handcrafted , store bought , brought in? I’ll be following up with the Huck’s team because I feel like this cake needs to be a couple times a month part of my routine. The texture and frosting mix were delightful and made my night just super after a long long slightly stressful day. Thanks kids & thanks...
