Remedies Grill — Restaurant in Rock Springs

Thought about this over the weekend and almost didn't post, but here goes. Old, rundown diner with an even older, more rundown cook and waitress. My lady friend and I had the audacity to ask for an extra salad dressing, fry sauce, and refills and could hear the cook, who for privacy reasons we'll call Jabba, complain about it, in front of the owner no less, who did absolutely nothing to shut it down. And the food...should've known better to eat at a "drug store" who's pharmacy was shut down because it almost killed a good friend of mine by putting the wrong medication in the wrong bottle. Dine at your own risk. To the owner: Why don't you just charge for sauce instead of complaining when guests ask for it? And is your crotchety cook always right or is the customer right? Does she pay your bills or does the guest? Might be time to pack it in and retire, the whole lot of...

We were traveling through and wanted to go to a local restaurant and this one had great reviews. I’m not sure why because the food was standard fair and the waitress was neither friendly nor helpful. We ordered the Remedy burger and I am not sure why or how it was different from a regular burger or why I paid extra for the name. We ordered tea but was never offered refills and we remained parched for the rest of the meal. Our waitress was more interested in her phone than her service. The restaurant was cute reminiscent of an old time soda jerk. Too bad they didn’t have any of the old time drinks (like a green river, cherry phosphate,etc) we were quite disappointed and will avoid this one on our way...

We were looking for lunch and someone recommended Remedies. It was a small place in the front of a store downtown with a few tables and a counter. It was also popular. We got two of the last seats at the counter for lunch. They make big and interesting burgers, but for some reason we were looking for something lighter. I had a tuna melt and my wife had chicken strips. We were happy with them and the prices were great. Friendly small town service and good food, what more could we ask?
