Update to the owner đfirst of all, if you canât take criticism, then donât respond. Second of all, youâre not gonna last long in that food court because your people move slow, I waited 25 minutes for simple fried order items. Lastly, the picadillo Was sitting under the light in a big tub, the same meat used for every recipe sitting OUT nothing but bland ground beef and potatoes That tasted like they were added to the meat after they were boiled and diced up.There was nothing differentiating empanadas from papa rellena. That chicken was dry as hell. Black beans and rice is moros y critianos lol. Lastly, nobody said anything about your staffâs background, except for the fact that a lot of restaurants have people that donât understand the flavors of the food because theyâre not Cuban so if you donât like that, then I donât know what to tell you. But definitely wonât be coming back for your overpriced finger foods. Never had a restaurant owner that ignorant that canât take criticismâŠnobodyâs asking for a full menu. Iâve seen Dominican and Cuban food trucks/ mall food court vendors with good pernil, yuca frita, and good plantains (yours were overpriced and dry) Offer 4 simple main things to eat just like sarku and the colombian place. Additionally not have to wait 25 minutes for finger foods. Get real my review stays and it was a crappy experience as a Cuban that rice was NOT cuban lol that was portuguese bbq rice. Learn how to make arroz con vegetales the cuban way if...
Read moreI am thrilled that Cuban Eddie's has opened a new location in Rockaway Mall. I have long been a fan of their food at the Bergen County spots in Dumont and River Vale, but this one is more local for me. The Roasted Chicken entree is delicious, a large meal of 3 roasted chicken drumsticks (so moist and tender), rice, beans, and sweet plantains. I was amazed to see that Cuban Eddie's prices still have not risen even though I hadn't made it back to Bergen County in a long while; the value is incredible, with the full meal costing only $5.99. Who doesn't love a bargain for a fantastic meal out? After discovering yesterday that the new place opened in July, I made a point to go for lunch today. Try it if you...
Read moreI ordered a cuban sandwich with extra pickles and mustard that I wanted in the side. None of the girls knew what I was talking about and looked at me like I had a second head. The service is terrible, girls move so slow. But what really upset me is that I asked for two empanadas and after waiting forever to even get my order, I get all the way home, just to drive all the way back because these girls gave me croquetas. Rhe food is good, but these small things are going to damage the business. Owner rectified the situation with 2 free guava empanadas, which was unfortunate since neither my husband or I...
