As a certified ServSafe instructor, I’m absolutely baffled by the lack of basic food safety practices in your establishment. Specifically, the individual who works the window (the tall one with the winter headband who always looks like he ate something sour) regularly handles my coffee his crusty, dry, ashy, money handling hands—placing them directly on the lid and rim where customers drink from. This is not only unsanitary but a clear violation of food safety protocols.
I understand that people have bad days, but the lack of professionalism and hygiene shown by this employee is inexcusable. Beyond the health risks, it’s also concerning that this person’s demeanor is consistently miserable, uninviting and dismissive. This combination of poor food handling and poor customer service has left me frustrated every time I visit, and after enduring this issue for what feels like the 20th time, I feel compelled to bring it to your attention. He of course answered with the enthusiasm, hospitality, & professionalism you would expect, that being none.
I urge you to address both the hygiene issue and the customer service experience at the window. Customers deserve a clean, respectful, and professional environment, and unfortunately, that is not the case with this individual.
One last note, I don’t know what his problem is with Apple Pay but if you try to use it I swear is like you just insulted him. While I have paid this way many times, the time I had to do it with him he gave me the biggest attitude and pretended the cord was too short! WHICH I KNOW ISN’T TRUE! Read moreI’m flabbergasted by my experience at this DD location today. I went through the drive thru window and ordered a hot chai latte before taking my son to the park. I got the drink, and it was cold to the touch. I told the person at the window right away, and they took it back. When I got the drink back the second time, the cup was a little warmer so I started driving away. When I took a sip, it was barely lukewarm. I’m a little irritated at this point because all I wanted was a warm to hot drink to enjoy on a nice fall day at the park. I parked, dragged my 3-year old inside and explained, nicely, to the kid at the counter that I ordered a chai latte and got two cold/lukewarm drinks. The person who I dealt with called his coworker an idiot and took my drink back. I won’t even get into the inappropriate personal conversations the employees were having while I stood there waiting for my third attempt at a hot drink. I got my drink back a third time, the cup was slightly warmer and I was just done so I left. When I took a drink outside, I realized that the kid gave me a completely different drink than what I ordered (regular latte instead of a chai latte) AND it wasn’t even that much warmer 🤦🏻♀️ Now I’m at the park writing this stupid review without a hot drink. Read moreEverything was fine, except for the cleanliness. Tables and floors were dirty... Table I sat at had crumbs and stuff all over it. Big pieces of bagel or some pastry on the floor. I wanted to take a bloom and spray to clean it myself.
I didn't personally interact with the staff, but from background noise, I didn't hear any complaints. They work well together, it seemed.
I was able to meet someone there, afterward stay and work on some paperwork. I did hear staff saying something about being there so long. Probably not the place to stay and do paperwork. Next time I'm going to Borders® or Barnes and Nobles®.
Also, they need more options/alternatives for milk. Person who ordered for me asked for almond milk, no sugar, latté with extra foam. Idk what brand almond milk they used, but it was wayyy too sweet. Definitely wasn't unsweetened vanilla. They need more knowledge on that aspect. 5 years ago they didn't even have almond milk, so glad they're moving forward.
