Easy Tiger — Restaurant in Rockford Township

Just stopped in for drinks with a couple of friends. Didn't have any food so I can't comment on the food. Did have an old fashioned though and I didn't like how the bartender handled making it. After making a drink for another customer, she took the money from the customer. Did the normal thing opened the drawer, put the money in the drawer gave change back to the customer. Got her tip put the money in the tip jar. Shook hands with another customer and proceeded to make my old fashioned. This is where I got a little upset. She then got a pinch of sugar with her bare hands put it in the cup along with an orange slice again with her bare hands. Then grabbed an ice cube again with her bare hands. Didn't use any utensils to grab the ice cube or the sugar. This is all after grabbing the money and shaking hands. I didn't want to drink that after seeing all of this. It just seemed a little to unsanitized, maybe I'm being picky, but I've always seen bartenders use utensils for ice and for sugar cubes. Watch how they make your drinks. Another thing too is that there was way too many fruit flies in the restaurant. I get it if a few were flying around, but this was a lot of them so much that we went outside. I hate to complain, but just want the owner to know. Other than that the vibe in that place was nice. I like the outdoor area. I would go back and give this place another shot. I understand that there's gonna be some off days. Waitresses were nice and attentive. It was a busy night so I'm sure they are exhausted. I would just remind the bartenders to be mindful of using utensils when making drinks. I believe this bartender was training a new hire too. I'm willing to give this place another shot. Stopped in for dinner after working a long day. 8 pmish. We tried sitting inside but the music was SOOOOO loud we couldn't hear each other talk!! I like my music loud sometimes but damn dudes! . It's definitely more of a bar "atmosphere". The people , including the owner I believe, sitting at the bar had to talk so loud over the music it was weird. Everyone was yelling lol!. We grabbed our own menus and sat outside. Thankfully we could hear each other. The server did come over after about 20 minutes. No one greeted us as we entered. When ordering, Asked if we wanted the wings appetizer to come out first. Yes, but then We got those last after we were finished eating. The food was good. We had the fried rice and elote salad. There were leftovers to take home. What shocked me the most when we got the bill was that they charged $3 for soda water. I get that it's new and kinks need to be worked out. Decided to give this place a try, and it was worth the visit. Great laid-back tropical vibe. Drink specials were excellent. Decided to have the chicken curry, and it was seasoned perfectly. The remainder of our group had nachos and teriyaki, and everyone raved about the food. The service was also top-notch. We were there earlier in the day, so we missed any entertainment. But I highly recommend that if you're in the area and would like something local and different. The only downside is the limited menu.
