The salsa tastes and looks like marinara sauce. Everyone's food was soggy. The appetizer sampler is just heaped up garbage on a plate, and not authentic (pretty sure deep fried jalapeno poppers aren't traditional Mexican cuisine). I didn't even realize the center heap was nachos until I found a few soaked and floppy tortillas that were chip shaped underneath.
Steak tacos were dry, which normally doesn't bother me at other restaurants because I just splash some salsa on them, but wasn't going to put marinara on these tacos.
The shrimp fajitas tasted fine, but paying over $20 for 10 medium shrimp, onions, green peppers, and 4 tortillas is a bit much. There was only enough fajita ingredients to make 3 fajitas, and the 4th tortilla was left at the table. Never had that happen at a Mexican restaurant before, especially for the price.
Definitely won't be back. Considering we were the only people in the restaurant, I feel like many others feel the same way.
The Mexican coke was good, so if you are somehow forced to go there, just order that.
*Edited for the waitress.
You were nice. No complaints.
Yes, we ate the appetizer. Mostly our kids ate it. They were hungry and their favorite restaurant is McDonald's, so don't pat yourselves on the back for quality.
We also ate most of our entrees. This included threats of losing electronics if the kids didn't eat their food.
The four of us, including two kids, spent $140 on this disappointing meal.
So yeah, this was tonight's dinner and we weren't going to stop anywhere else on the way home. Pushing through eating an expensive and underwhelming meal did not mean we liked it or will be back, it meant we had sunk costs and weren't going to dump anymore money for one night's dinner.
Sorry we weren't more direct in our feedback, but we didn't want spit...
Read moreChewy steak fajitas plus a very disappointing experience this time aka our last time. We have had decent meals and experiences in the past, so I am not sure if there are new owners or what. My wife asked if they had Tito's or what kind of vodka they had. The server apparently did not understand English and said oh, you want Jose? No, she did not want tequila. After getting another server that understood the word vodka, she held up a bottle of Smirnoff. My wife agreed to a vodka / soda. I am happy I had water after receiving the check. They charged my wife $12 for a Paloma - tequila drink when she had 1 vodka / soda. When I pointed out their mistake, they said this is the button they have to push. I said you can buy a bottle for that price. In an unfriendly tone, she stated that they don't set the prices. Smirnoff is a small step above rail vodka and a full 750 ml bottle can be purchased for $11 at Target as noted in the pics. The max price on Smirnoff should have been $5-6. A Tito's can be had for that price at most bars and restaurants. We came for food and not drinks, but this over-inflated and incorrect pricing was extremely...
Read moreFirst of all the parking lot is way too small. The place was very busy which is a good thing. My parents always told me, if you go to a restaurant and it's not busy, you might not want to eat there. The atmosphere was great. The food. Ok, so I ordered the chimichanga burrito dinner, in which the burrito was excellent. The rice in the other hand was cold. It did not say that it came with guacamole on the menu, so I didn't think to mention, no guacamole. The server was really sweet about it and took the plate back and removed it. I mentioned, if he can take some of the sour cream away too, because I'm not a big fan. I'll do some but not a lot. He brought my plate back with no sign of the guacamole but with extra sour cream. I didn't say anything. I just scraped most of it off my plate and kept it moving. So overall, I would definitely come back and recommend it to others. There were a couple of things I didn't like but it didn't ruin the whole experience for me. That's the important thing. There's no perfect restaurant out there but when the overall experience is good. That's what counts. They can always work on the...
